Apparently the NHLPA has evidence of stuff Babcock did with the Blue Jackets that wasn't ever reported publicly in addition to the phone stuff, and now the NHL has to do an investigation, amazing stuff by the Oilers!

Now Darnell Nurse is asking for a trade and given a list of 3-5 teams he'd approve, these guys have lost the plot

that said, edmonton probably asked if he wanted a paycut, that would make it easier to trade you.

and lets just hope detroit wasnt on that list.

I love when they show the Cup being shined up. When they showed that with 5 minutes left in 1997 from a hallway in the Joe I almost passed out.

I was at least hoping for a good game to close out the series, this was not a good game.

Canes win the Stanley Cup! They deserve after multiple appearances to conference finals. 
 

No obvious Conn Smythe winner. Ehlers? Hall?

The first 4 games of the series were awesome but then Carolina look over. Like in the Montreal series. Sucked the life out of them. The Canes benefitted from sweeping their first two series, kept them relatively rested.

It's amazing what happens when you have a ferocious forecheck, score with more than one line, and can goalie games. They did all of that tonight. Bussi played great all night. You do those things and you win Stanley Cups. Must be nice.

Yes! Not to mention the short turnaround between the Wings’ 5-game WCF series win and the SCF start on back to back nights.

Dumb Oilers for not signing an undrafted 27 yr old without NHL experience off of waivers, then starting him in 39 games before throwing him into the mix to save the SCF. Goalies are so unpredictable.
