My three summer of 2024 predictions.

Weaver is retained.  This is a bonus pick.

#1. Wiseman extension.  It wont be more than $10M per year but still unwarranted.

#2. Trade a young (possibly multiple) guy for a flawed player.  Example being Zack Lavine.  Combination of overpaid, injury prone, or puts up empty stats.  In the case of Lavine, all three.

#3. Sign Miles Bridges to a free agent contract.

At least me might be in the running for Cooper Flagg or Ace Bailey next year.  Because you are supposed to be competing for the #1 pick in year 5 of your rebuild.

sure, but we'll end up picking fifth.

Givony has a new mock.  Top 5 in order:

Zaccharie Risacher

Alex Sarr

Rob Dillingham

Nikola Topic

Donovan Clingan

Former #1 Ron Holland is down to 12th.

You know it's a trash draft when Clingan is getting top 5 mention. Dillingham would be mid teens in most drafts as well.

If anyone in this front office or coaching staff survives the first week of this offseason, the NBA should step in and remove Gores immediately.

They (the NBA) won't. Just saying they should.

I expect Troy to be fired shortly after the season and replaced by Eric Tellem.

This would so on point for Gores.

I almost can’t imagine him making any other decision other than maybe letting Weaver keep his job for another year.

No way that's happening, this is all a part of "restoration"...restoring embarrassment to the Pistons franchise as if it wasn't embarrassing enough already.

Either way, it doesn't matter. Weaver is only a small symptom of the disease plaguing the Pistons. Until Gores sells, ineptitude will reign supreme in Pistons Land.
