Take advantage of this weak conference. Too bad a team in their own division looks to be setting a record for wins this year. Want a bold prediction? Is JB a great coach or was Monty really that bad? NYLion Posted November 19 Posted November 19 The Pistons are better with Reed than Duren. Reed plays a smart, simple game that meshes better with the guards. Duren is more explosive but he's way too volatile with his play and is constantly out of position, he's still pretty young but we're getting to he is what he is territory with him. Lots of tools but not much of a toolbox. Quote

Needs the right coach for it. In that regard we're better off than a year ago. Give it some time. Quote

Betrayer Posted November 19 Posted November 19 Duren’s catching local media/podcast heat over his defense in this game (and in general). This was a classic Andre Drummond game with a bunch of empty stats. He looked completely lost on the defensive end regardless of JB trying numerous defensive looks to take the pressure off of him. At the very least it’s time to split the minutes evenly between him and Stew. Not 30 minutes for Duren in a game where he’s getting torched. The on/off stats between the two of them would say it should be taken even further. Quote

With that said, I think the biggest factor was the schedule. 5 games in 7 days, second of a back to back travelling from Washington to Detroit. Team looked to be lacking some juice especially defensively. Would like to see Ausar get back in the lineup, get some fresh legs in there. Quote

He's been cleared to play, so give him 5 minutes per half in the next game and work it up from there. This "reconditioning" needs to get off my lawn. Quote
