There was a ruling to prevent the limited, modified hangout attempt to release the grand jury transcripts which cited the fact that this was eyewash when the DOJ has a lot more information in their own files and investigation.

Stephen Miller is headed for a very dark future.  I just can't see how this ends without some bunker gotterdamerung where Katie Miller poisons their children.   He's got the same things going on:  He's the weirdo devotee of the leader.  The wife is a power-hungry weirdo who sleeps her way to the top.  They seem very broken but are currently riding high as part of an administration that doesn't has any limits on it.

I went to Kroger the other day and the fresh veggie section was completely bare. I don't know if it is because this mess or the fact that Kroger is a terrible company. Probably both.

A useful exercise for the pundit-industrial complex would be to imagine the voters who a) are opposed to Donald Trump and b) those who have soured on Donald Trump over various issues (ie. Tariffs, economy/inflation, immigration, etc.) and then ask themselves who exactly is supposed to be peeled back over on the basis of what's going in DC right now.

We've collectively built Donald J. Trump into this mythical folk hero who has the best political instincts, who when he undertakes some action gets the presumption that it will be widely popular. Even when it's pretty obvious it won't be. I don't get it

well, its one post.  However, you have to imagine these World Historical Geniuses that ICE has recruited for their 'toughness' are going to flow like water to the dumbest possible reasons for making policing decisions.  They certainly won't be tactful or intelligent about it.  Expect some Lynndie England type crap.

Kroger is a terrible company. We have their Mariano’s nameplate out there. When they came into the market under Roundy’s ownership, they were a hybrid between a specialty market and a major. Now they’re just a Kroger where the store management is basically just phoning it in.

I’m starting to consider moving my grocery business to Pete’s Fresh. They’re not cheaper and are missing some things I like, but they also have some things I do like, and have higher quality produce across the board.

I'm going to miss Wegmans when I return to Michigan. That is a grocery store chain with some amazing stuff of their own.

I've been into a Marianos once since moving up here.... for a store who's reputation is what you described (Wegmans/Central Market/Whole Foods adjacent), it's shocking how little of an upgrade it is to a standard Jewel store.

They're opening a Woodman's relatively close by, that's the day I got marked down....

For us it's almost worth the drive to Short Pump once in a while. I wish they were installing them in New Kent County rather than Buckees

And you're out in the exurbs where the Marianos are nice! Just come on into town and check out the Roscoe-Western store, the one I habituate. Or even better, the Chicago-Damen store, which I have vowed to even stop in for an item or two because I'm in the vicinity at the moment. You won't even get past the produce department before wondering how even Kroger would allow their name to be associated with those.

But yes, Kroger did come in and figure out that they could make just as much money pushing down the quality of the store to Jewel-level, and allowed them to become no more than Dominick's redux.

Absolutely!  When I buy gas I just utter under my breath 'fake news' as I look at the pump, knowing full well that Marathon just wants to humiliate Trump and they are obviously only going to charge me 1.99/gallon.

All my co-workers in the Ashburn area always brag about Wegmans.
