They would’ve won had they gone to court but LSU and the governor ran into a curveball they didn’t see coming. Even though he didn’t rep Kelly, super agent Jimmy Sexton stood up for his industry and told them they weren’t getting any of his clients, including Lane Kiffin, if they didn’t honor the contract. Hongbit Posted November 28 Posted November 28 He’s done a nice job but it’s ridiculous that he’s getting almost $11M. Coaching salaries are out of control. Quote
buddha Posted November 28 Posted November 28 nice that a "non profit" institution can pay their employee $11 million per year. Quote

I've gotten to where my dominant reaction when the topic of college football comes up is disgust. I'm beginning to tune out for my mental health. Quote
Deleterious Posted November 28 Author Posted November 28 Good job getting that bag before your QB leaves. Quote
Deleterious Posted November 28 Author Posted November 28 Today's game against Georgia was supposed to be a home game for Georgia Tech. They sold it for $10 million. It will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, so it will still be in Atlanta. Quote
Deleterious Posted November 29 Author Posted November 29 A&M in some trouble. Texas up 10 at the start of the 4th. Quote
GalagaGuy Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Looking at the SEC standings, Texas is the only team with a winning record in the conference that A&M played. Quote

A thought I had about the byproduct of these larger football conferences. While the odds are probably on the outsides of the bell curve, there are going to be instances of this happening. To date, Ohio State has played Washington on the road and a bunch of meh. Granted, Penn State and Wisconsin are having gutter years, but their conference schedule has been soft. On the flip side, I can’t remember who it was, but maybe it was Florida that was staring at 4 ranked opponents in a row in the middle of the season. Edited November 29 by casimir Quote
Deleterious Posted November 30 Author Posted November 30 Lost by 19 to Florida today. They already announced Norvell is coming back next year. Quote

I think he likes it there and would stay if they gave him a deal that pays him in the top 4 of coaches. If not, they will absolutely be looking for a new coach next year. So much for that theory. The guy is a just a mercenary for hire. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted November 30 Posted November 30 LSU is going to bankrupt their state through head coaching buyouts. When Kiffin goes 8-4 in 2029, how much will they have to pay him? Quote

Deleterious Posted November 30 Author Posted November 30 Know how bad Brian Kelly sucks? He couldn't even hold onto the title of most hated LSU coach. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Lane Kiffin and LSU deserve each other. I'll enjoy that implosion. College football is a cesspool. Who's going to coach Michigan State? Who cares. Jonathan Smith is going to UCLA. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted November 30 Posted November 30 There should be a freeze on Head Coaching interviews, offers and acceptance until after the bowl games are over. Quote
