Motor City Sonics Posted yesterday at 01:36 AM Author Posted yesterday at 01:36 AM Wow, East Coast-Bias strikes again. Sure, you can throw numbers at me all day, but Cal Raleigh is a freaking CATCHER and put up those numbers. To me, that should change the dynamic dramatically. Catchers putting up numbers like that is just insane. 1 Quote

Probably for the same reasons that many multi-millionaire businessmen scam people. Quote

Tiger337 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Judge deserved it. You could make a case that the daily grind of catching and the potential contributions that catchers make to pitcher management are not captured by numbers, but you can't claim any bias. The numbers that Judge put up are insane at ANY position. Quote

They measure opportunity more than the ability to take advantage of opportunity. Edited 20 hours ago by Tiger337 Quote

Had baseball-reference been around when I was a kid I would have failed every class except gym and math. Remember the Sunday sports page that showed all stats? Heaven. That was heaven. Quote

I still look at RBI just for fun too. Pitcher wins are no longer fun or beautiful though. That is a pretty much meaningless stat given the way the game is played today. Quote

If Torres signs, I don’t see any other significant infield additions with McGonigle, Lee and Anderson lurking. Maybe Jung, too, if he can bounce back next season in Toledo. Maybe we’ll see a CF or RF upgrade, with Carp moving to DH. Quote

I think it's a combination of me considering Otis for my historical sim team, the gambling news in baseball and the Epstein stuff. Quote
