I don’t know whether to be a little scared of that because they’re ornery and due for a breakout, or to be confident that they will continue to be lost at the plate. Skubal on the mound helps tilt it to the latter. Having Skubal go in the first game of a 3 game series could get us off to a nice start. But it gets easier on their hitters afterwards. 😆 Quote

Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted May 9 Posted May 9 this HP ump has a tight zone. that ball 4 to Greene wasn't the first one squarely in the zone tonight that he's called a ball. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Definitely feels like Corbin is getting squeezed a bit. Maybe Skubal is too but it doesn’t matter for him. Quote
IdahoBert Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Am I right assuming that because Ibanez is the number four hitter that the number four hitter ain’t what it used to be? Or is this a strategic Hinch thing? Quote

Or Cheech Marin...he says he keeps a bong in every room. That way when he walks into a room and can't remember why, he sees a bong and says "Oh, yeah." Quote

Yes- analytics have shifted more towards putting your best hitters in the top 3 spots so they’re likely to get more ABs overall But also No- it’s just because Ibanez typically hits LHPs well. Quote
