lordstanley Posted Sunday at 03:13 AM Posted Sunday at 03:13 AM (edited) Seattle wins. They get out of a 1st and 3rd none out jam in the top of the 11th, then score on a close play at the plate on a slow bouncer to 1st. Tigers' division lead is 6 over Minnesota and Cleveland, 7 over KC. Edited Sunday at 03:13 AM by lordstanley Quote
Sports_Freak Posted Sunday at 04:53 PM Posted Sunday at 04:53 PM Skubal lowered his WHIP from 0.84 to 0.79. Amazing. Quote

He is who we go with there? I think Hinch and the staff are trying to give Brieske as many leverage opportunities as they reasonably can before they consider demoting him to garbage time or worse. Fact is, though, he'd been relatively decent for the six appearances before this game, giving up no runs in six innings. The only really blemish is his tendency to walk guys, but he's borne down when he's had to. I think he'll probably get another leverage opportunity, maybe this week in Chicago if it arises. Quote

Big arm but from my strictly fan level power of observation he has a problem reproducing his release mechanics reliably - which is leading to too many uncompetitive pitches. If the brain trust think he's got a chance to or is close to fixing that, I can see giving him more run. Quote
