Third strike out of the day.

A .270 hitter who plays good defense and has a bit of occasional pop in his bat. Still young enough to maybe improve but also still young enough to maybe never improve. When I called him over-rated, I got quite a bit of blowback. Do fans want Hinch to keep hitting him in the 3 hole or maybe move him down in the lineup until (or if) he learns to make a bit more contact? That uppercut, long swing from the heels makes for a LOT of swings and misses. Sigh...

I missed quite a bit of the game right now, but my only comment about Montero is that the Cubs are a really good hitting team and we shouldn’t be surprised that they’re hitting him when they couldn’t hit Skubal which no one can really hit.

And Lee serves one up.

The ball probably looks like a beach ball going from Skubal to Montero.

This ball/strike thing is becoming a crisis of confidence in the integrity of the game. When there is so much information out there and the information can’t be suppressed MLB really has to act.

I don't know, man, it hasn't hurt the NBA.

NBA is down but I don't know if the officiating is any worse than it ever was, most folks think it's the style of play.Screenshot-2025-04-15-at-3_30_57PM.thumb.webp.041921d5f3990478e7510504e2f02f6a.webp

Riley went on record a week or so ago saying he knows he is out of sorts when it comes to swing and miss and he's got to work on it. I feel pretty confident he'll fix it, although it may not be soon enough to satisfy us.

well, no time like the present. Team has 6 Ks and 4 of them belong to Riley.

This 9th inning comeback walkoff is going to be epic. 😆

If McKinstry and Rogers can get on, Javy will be the tying run at the plate.

I think Jones just got picked off to end the game.

how do you get picked off with a man on base in front of you and the tying run not even on deck yet?

it sucks to lose to a good team when we are scuffling along with our #3 and #4 (Olson and Jobe) starters on the shelf and our MVP caliber LF is having a broken couple days.
