Sans tonight‘s game to get my fix I am figuratively reduced — in old people’s speak — to “stems and seeds.” I was going to watch the Reds beat the Twins because I have a rooting interest and it’s raining in Cincinnati. And in Chicago, and in Washington DC.

So I am stuck watching the Angels beat the Yankees and they’re just hoping they can get the game in there in the Bronx before it begins to rain around 8pm. And the Angels are leading 1-0. This is my definition of desperation.

Are you listening to the Yankees feed? They lost 5 in a row and they sound depressed...lol

Sometimes, after a big Tiger win, I go back and watch an exciting Tiger inning with the opposing feed. I know they're about to be bummed out and I get a perverse pleasure in that. 😅😅

Yanks walk the bases loaded. Have one out get an easy double play ball Volpe flubs it and it’s 3-2 Halos.

they are pretty terrible, the woman doing color is talking, the guy just walks over her with the PBP, she doesn't stop, but  her voice just sort of trails off under his. They don't seem to have any coordination for not stepping on each other.

Ha! The Halos seriously tried to give the lead back to the Yankees by walking the first batter and hitting the next, but the Yankees would have nothing doing with cashing in getting three straight outs and it’s now top of the ninth Angels leading 3–2.

Mets and Yankees both lose. The Tigers’ MLB lead is now 1.5 games over the Chicago Cubs and  2.0 games over NY Mets and LA Dodgers. The Tigers’ AL lead is now 4.5 games over NY Yankees and Houston.

I understand there were tornadoes. I guess canceling this game was a good idea although none of them touched down in Comerica and there were no reports of tornadoes on anybody’s driveways.

Volpe blew the DP with the error that cost them the came. Always good to see the yank lose!
