The Carlos Hernandez experiment needs to end.    It’s ridiculous at this point that he’s taking Dylan Smith’s roster spot.

Yes. What are we doing here?  I can’t think of any reason to put him in when they are hanging by a thread.  Seems like earlier this year I heard Hinch say something to the effect that you always have to think about today’s game and let tomorrow take care of itself. Didn’t seem to apply here.

Well at 8–3 I’d say this game is out of reach even for the comeback Tigers. And there’s still aren’t any else yet. I was hoping this game would be one of those “representation“ games for bragging rights, but bragging is for the insecure.

I think it's safe to say Swing & Miss by the Tigers with Carlos Hernandez.     It might be the only time we associate the term Swing & Miss with him.  

 

I'm actually glad this is the game they put on Apple TV.      I didn't have to experience it.

I know it’s a long season, but this highlighted some concerns - at least wrt thinking this team is a juggernaut.  The bullpen is leaking oil and offense lacks some reliable stars.  

A team of try hards is fun, but won’t win you a WS.  Probably should be happy with 90 wins, Lord knows that seemed very far away a year or so ago.

I think on this one, Chris Fetter crashed the car like Jeff Spicoli and, surveying the damage proclaimed he had access to this ultimate set of tools and said  "I can fix it".    

Great Pitching Coach.   But some things can't be fixed.
