The bullpen is leaking oil and offense lacks some reliable stars. A team of try hards is fun, but won’t win you a WS. Probably should be happy with 90 wins, Lord knows that seemed very far away a year or so ago. It's a single game. Relax. Even 100-win teams have about 10 of these. A shellacking like this can actually be good for the long run. Gonna have these now and then 1 Quote

Would really like to address. Quote
papalawrence Posted Saturday at 02:32 AM Posted Saturday at 02:32 AM Cubs lost 11-0 today. No new concerns imho. The Tigers need bullpen help. Starter would be helpful. Another bat would be welcomed. 2 Quote
IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 02:41 AM Posted Saturday at 02:41 AM The Mariners basically made the Tigers their woman tonight and we simply have to accept it and move on. Quote

I agree. Seattle is a talented team, and Castillo is a very good pitcher. Even Parker misplaced a ball. Flush the turd and move on Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted Saturday at 11:23 AM Posted Saturday at 11:23 AM Is it me or does Skubal struggle against Seattle in general? Seems like it. I know he went to school there, so maybe emotionally there's something about facing them. I mean, he's not a robot. Quote

Klondike Posted Saturday at 12:32 PM Posted Saturday at 12:32 PM Tiger's playing like the pre-All-Star blehs. Basking in their 6 selections. Let's get back to that gritty hard working team we know.. 1 Quote
HugoD Posted Saturday at 02:21 PM Posted Saturday at 02:21 PM After sleep and further reflection, it’s all about pitching over the long haul. Yeah, I realize I’m stating the obvious. The team scores enough runs; a typical Skubal start yesterday and we’re talking about gritty tigers and Riley perhaps emerging from his scuffles. Quote

It's always about pitching AND defense. This team concerns me more about adding some more BP arms and maybe a good defensive third basemen. Just playing good ball the way they know how to and have been playing. Parker has to get better. He misplayed a ball yesterday. I don't know. I hate seeing games like yesterday. Raliagh guy is a beast. Edited Saturday at 03:22 PM by Klondike 1 Quote
