Please tell me these are new City Connects and not standard colored alternates they will be wearing throughout the week at home and on the road. Oh, who am I kidding? That ship was always going to sail at some point. It's just a bummer that I had to live to see it. Once the city connects happened, it was already over. We can hope these are limited to west coast road game that start at 10pm eastern. Quote
oblong Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It doesn't bother me anymore because the home uniform with the D from the hat, along with the nike logo prominently displayed ruined it. I didn't like the city connects at first but grew to because it reminded me of summertime Friday nights. Quote

Although if I am reading the "leak" tweet from the Tigers right, there are going to be two colors, including navy blue. Well, the traditional look was nice while it lasted, but I guess the kids were always gonna end up winning that battle. sacrilegious. Quote

Too many people in this world keep working until they have enough money to splurge in retirement and then either die before they use it or get too old to do all the things they want to. Life's short man, exit the rat race. Agree with you 100%. I retired in 2006 at 63. Now, 20 years later and having survived a major heart attack, I don't regret a think. 1 Quote

Yes, if you don't like what you are doing or just getting too old to keep up and you have enough money saved to live reasonably comfortably, retirement is a good option. Many people have been conditioned to believe that work is the most important thing in the world. It doesn't have to be. As long as you have family, friends, hobbies, maybe some volunteering to keep you busy and somewhat stimulated, you should be OK without work. Edited 52 minutes ago by Tiger337 1 Quote

We just need to cherry pick stats and point out a few that Jack was better at and then somebody else can find a few Mize was better at. Its just one of the problems with stats, people use a few to bolster an argument. Basically, I dont care. I just didn’t like watching Flaherty and wondering which inning he would have a meltdown. He would look great for several innings and then suddenly give up multiple runs. Usually in a close game that would destroy any chance of winning. Mize did start out the season strong and seemed to get weaker deeper into the season. Either tired or just not used to pitching so deep into the season. It seemed like Hinch knew, he pulled him after only a few innings in a playoff game. But I'm really rooting for him to be a solid #3 this season. Quote

Different City Connect uniforms every season from now on? Quote

I can only assume they mean that "literally" in a literal sense, and not "literally" in a figurative sense. Quote

Right, Flaherty did better in stats which are predictive of future performance including things like stuff+ which attempt to directly measure ability. Quote
