sagnam Posted Sunday at 12:22 AM Posted Sunday at 12:22 AM If he had that would have been really stupid, right? Or would it be 3d chess for the genius? No matter what let’s pretend it wouldn’t help! At least we will have draft picks to use to trade up in the draft to draft a player we barely play. The need to use hyperbole to negate any argument that goes counter to what the infallible Brad Holmes does is cult like. It’s ok to question people who are good at their job. And questioning decisions doesn’t equate to wanting to replace them. Quote
Jason_R Posted Sunday at 01:49 AM Posted Sunday at 01:49 AM Yes, I was making light of the argument that after Mahogany got injured on Sunday, Brad should have traded for an OL by the trade deadline at 4pm that Tuesday. I have also been critical of Brad’s tendency to reach in the middle rounds. I never liked Hooker. Martin at least had the physical attributes that you sometimes go out of your way to acquire. Manu does too, and hopefully he finally works out. I am not concerned about TeSlaa. They are very slow about bringing on rookies. And the WR room is stacked so it is no surprise TeSlaa has not gotten a lot of snaps. But he clearly has skills that translate to the NFL. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted Sunday at 02:04 AM Author Posted Sunday at 02:04 AM I think Mahagony will be back this season. At least that was the expectation when he went down. I’m more worried about Decker’s durability and the interior’s ability to hold up against a good defensive front. This week may actually be a good test for the IOL (if last week wasn’t good enough). Mr.TaterSalad Posted Sunday at 04:49 AM Posted Sunday at 04:49 AM TJ Lang read a stat on Friday on Valenti's show that I thought was both interesting and concerning. The Lions offense hasn't caused one, single, defensive pass interference this entire season. TJ said he went through all the game logs and verified that the offense hasn't caused a single DPI. He attributed that to how off the passing game has looked and the lack of deep route designs this offense hasn't been running. That's shocking that through 10 have we haven't caused one DPI. Quote

My bad. 1 Quote

They only caused one all of last year. This isn’t new and happened during the Ben Johnson era. It’s contributed to the receivers getting great separation and Goff being more risk adverse and accurate. Quote

It's really tough with another game in 4 days. And against Green Bay. I won't say that game will be a must win but it's a.....must win. 😅 Quote

The Lions don't have a big body contested catch receiver who can draw those penalties. I am surprised Williams doesn't draw more holds since he can run past any defender. Quote

But seriously, I would rather have receivers wide open than tightly covered to try to get DPI calls. Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted Sunday at 06:07 PM Posted Sunday at 06:07 PM Are you ****ing kidding me right now? What a disaster of an opening drive for the defense. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted Sunday at 06:07 PM Posted Sunday at 06:07 PM Are we going to lose to a guy who stole crab legs? Quote

TP_Fan Posted Sunday at 06:09 PM Posted Sunday at 06:09 PM Coaching is a real problem right now. Continuously come out completely unprepared. Hutch man, what a let down he is becoming. 3rd and 7 and is aggressively offside leading to the extended drive. He gives up the edge on every run play and makes so many mistakes. He has regressed mentally. Quote

TP_Fan Posted Sunday at 06:11 PM Posted Sunday at 06:11 PM It’s just pathetic how unprepared this team has been this year. Quote
TP_Fan Posted Sunday at 06:16 PM Posted Sunday at 06:16 PM Embarrassing start. Jsut absolutely pathetic football. Campbell is woefully lost as a coach right now. He needs to snap out of it. Offense is just a mess. Quote
