Sports_Freak Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I read this article from a week ago. Its giving up a lot of capital but as others have said, we're a young team that may not need many draft picks for a few years; https://detroitjockcity.com/pistons-projected-trade-lands-detroit-dream-deadline-target-01kf3xd9swxj https://detroitjockcity.com/pistons-projected-trade-lands-detroit-dream-deadline-target-01kf3xd9swxj Quote
buddha Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago you'll be able to fill a small, outdoor swimming pool with del's tears if the pistons trade for lauri markannen or anthony davis. 1 Quote
Shinzaki Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Markannen is preferable to AD...but not at that price Quote
Deleterious Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago Kyrie, AD, Markannen. Piston fans are either ****ing idiots or think the NBA season is 45 games long. Quote
Betrayer Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago A second All-Star would be nice but I struggle to find one at the right price, age, contract, and availability level. Maybe you can pull off a deal for an "Almost All-Star" like MPJ, Trey Murphy, or JJJ (that contract is rough though), but it's unlikely you'll find a deal that makes sense for both sides. At this point, I'd be happy just adding more two way players. Give me a couple guys who can BOTH play defense AND hit a three and you probably have a real contender. Ideally they would replace the minutes you're giving to guys like Ivey and LaVert (and/or push Tobias/Duncan to smaller roles). There's a lot of Herb Jones talk right now and he would be a great start even though his 3-ball has struggled a bit this year. Having a PG like Cade would probably fix that. Quote
Deleterious Posted 16 hours ago Author Posted 16 hours ago I would call Chicago and kick the tires on Ayo Dosunmu. He would be a bucket off of the bench and is shooting 45% from three. A below average defender but gives effort. Better coaching and scheme probably gets him to be an average defender. At least good enough where he would not be hunted in the playoffs. He would fit into their TPE so they could just offer draft picks for him. He is unrestricted this summer so all I would give up is this year's 1st and some second round picks. Actually, I would give up LeVert + this year's 1st. But I'm not sure Chicago wants anything to do with LeVert. 1 Quote
Betrayer Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago How many first round picks do I need to add to Tobias, Ivey, LaVert, and Sasser to get Trey Murphy, Herb Jones, and Jose Alvarado back from Weaver? Tobias can take a short vacation in New Orleans and then come back on a vet deal to be a bench player next year, so he can retire in Detroit. 1 Quote

Your core is locked in and the oldest player is 27? Yes please. Quote
