MichiganCardinal Posted Thursday at 11:55 PM Posted Thursday at 11:55 PM From Justin Rogers: “Point of clarify for what it matters, conversations between the Lions and Matt Campbell never progressed to an offer in 2021.” Matt Campbell is full of ****. No one at Iowa State declines an NFL job offer after progressing to the offer stage in order to stay at freaking Iowa State. Is it possible Matt Campbell saw the writing on the wall that he wasn’t going to get hired by the Lions, so he quietly withdrew from consideration? Maybe. But he was never offered and it’s insulting to Dan Campbell for him to just come and claim Dan was the Lions second choice. 1 Quote
Motown Bombers Posted Friday at 12:29 AM Posted Friday at 12:29 AM I had seen it reported it was between Dan Campbell and Arthur Smith. The Lions were sold on Campbell because they believed he could attract the top coaches. Quote

Was the only name connected to the Lions that I didn’t like at all. Quote

And isn't the bye after the Europe game? Quote
Motown Bombers Posted Friday at 05:19 PM Posted Friday at 05:19 PM I forgot we play the Patriots. What local reporter do we have that can seduce Vrabel? Quote

Having three into the bye isn’t crazy, that’s happened before. And Rod Wood specifically said we weren’t guaranteed to have a bye out of the Germany game. Might have even said it wasn’t likely. But that’s the extent of defending I’ll do to a prediction I made up out of thin air. Quote

MichiganCardinal Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Sounds like Lions @ Bills on Thursday Night week two to open up the new stadium. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Likely means Lions will kickoff the season at home. Quote

If it didn’t include 50, I would make that trade all day. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Looking between 37-44, the only player other than Moore who would have made some sense is Colton Hood, who the Giants took. Quote

They could have doubled-down on DE and took Young and Moore lol. Cashius Howell was also taken in that range and he's the DE I wanted the most. I don't think Howell was likely on their board given that he doesn't set the edge much and isn't the strongest run defender. Jacob Rodriguez is a Dan Campbell player through and through and would have made a lot of sense for them. Quote
sagnam Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Lions sign first-round pick Blake Miller, rest of 2026 draft class Quote
