lordstanley Posted Thursday at 05:28 AM Author Posted Thursday at 05:28 AM (edited) The drought is going to end. Teams 10-16 in the East are 11 points or more behind the Wings with 31 games to go for the Wings. 9th place Leafs are 9 back, I don’t think the Wings have had this much of a playoff cushion, not even 2 years ago in February. Teams 5-7 are 7 back of the Wings. The Wings are not a great team or even a very good team but who is? In the East, I think only Carolina and Tampa are better. Shinzaki Posted Thursday at 03:50 PM Posted Thursday at 03:50 PM AlJo had a decent game last night..SM must have thought so too as he was out there in some key situations. I think this is the year we make the playoffs..adding Petersson would give us a hedge against Larkin getting hurt again in March. EP has been a 1C before Quote

buddha Posted Thursday at 07:46 PM Posted Thursday at 07:46 PM What would you trade for robert thomas? danielson, buium, first and a third? Quote

slothfacekilla Posted Thursday at 08:40 PM Posted Thursday at 08:40 PM Non-joking, I'd rather do a package of picks and a different prospect than give up Danielson in a Thomas trade. I honestly have no idea what Thomas' value is on the trade market. He's an intriguing piece at his age and contract and I think he'd be a great addition to the Wings. Top 10 protected first round pick, second round pick (or two), maybe a future first with top 5 protection? Maybe you can entice them with Plante's great season so far? Feels like it would need to be more than Vegas got for Hertl but maybe I'm wrong? Quote
1984Echoes Posted Thursday at 08:54 PM Posted Thursday at 08:54 PM (edited) If it's a 2026 1st I don't think it needs any protections (just guessing... but I don't believe 2026 will end up as a top-10 pick...) For a future 1st... yes, I would want top-10 protection... Also, I agree not the closest-to-Detroit prospects, ruling out Nate & Buium. But we have different levels of "interesting" prospects lower down with Genborg, Plante, Buch, Bear, Johansson, etc., etc. PS: I guess add in Postava, Gylinder, Tuomisto as possibilities... just to see if they bite. Most likely not, but... Edited Thursday at 08:56 PM by 1984Echoes Quote

buddha Posted yesterday at 02:35 AM Posted yesterday at 02:35 AM so far tonight, boston is beating vegas, colombus is beating dallas, pittsburgh is beating edmonton, and florida is beating winnipeg because NO ONE IN THE EAST EVER LOSES. Quote

The Blackhawks did force a shoot out and win so Carolina only picked up 1pt. Quote
