what a joke the NBA is the refs just flat out took the ball out of Detroits hands.

It almost seems like after a team loses it's chance to challenge, all the close calls go against them. They can't do a thing about it.

After two straight nights of football, I figured it was prudent to take the girl out so I missed this one.

They were up 14 in the 4th and lost?  I don't care who is out, you have to win when up 14 in the 4th.

Box score tells me Ivey wasn't good.  33% from the field with 0 assists?  They might seriously consider pulling his QO at this point.

Duncan was 5-7 from 3. The rest of the team was 3-infinity. Fwiw Tolu Smith had to carry a lot of the paint load today. He had 14 boards. Yes they lost in the 4th. They hustled and played way above their talent with grit. No shame is losing today imho

Smith was 1-7 from the field.  Welcome to the NBA where we judge you on your production.  But it's not about guys like Smith, Jenkins, and Green.  Those guys are what they are.  For me, last night was about Ivey.

Ivey was so terrible he couldn't even get on the court in the final minutes of a close game.  Multiple starters out.  Jenkins and Green on three consecutive possessions under 2 mins went TO-TO-TO.  Three possessions, they couldn't even get a shot, and Ivey can't get on the floor?   And that is on Ivey, not JB.  He shot 4-12 0-5 with 0 assists, JB not playing him was the right move.

After Cade and maybe Stew, it's irrelevant who is on this roster.  You can slide any replacement level type player in and get the same results we get now.  That is a big problem come playoff time when Cade has to play 4 perfect games every series.

I think it was understandable for Ivey to start out his season slowly or rusty or whatever.  But I’ve got to think he should be past that by now.  Last night was an opportunity to shoulder a significant part of the load and it didn’t happen.  At the very least he should be looked to as a significant piece of the offense when Cunningham is on the bench in a game he plays, but that just hasn’t materialized yet this season.

Someone else said he doesn’t seem to have the same speed or quickness as he had before.  I think he does, but it certainly seems like it isn’t used as often as in the past or maybe as often as it could be used.  Maybe he’s lost that physically or maybe he he’s not back physically/mentally?  I don’t know.

I mean, what does he bring?  His shooting has fallen off the last week or two and is now at 33% from three.  Can't get to the rim, doesn't play defense, doesn't create for others.

He might get benched once the trade deadline passes.
