Sold high on an asset that was likely to depreciate and a player that wasn't going to help them win now anyway and it's obviously a good win now move for the Rams. It reminds me of the Stafford for Goff trade in a way, looks like a win win for both teams for where they are in their development phase. This is definitely a high risk/reward move for the Rams...much like GB trading for Micah Parsons the year before. That's a lot of assets going out for a guy who's contract could hamstring you . Or he could be the guy that gets you over the top Quote
buddha Posted June 6 Posted June 6 its a bluff. the culmination of the stupidity of the chicago bears, the corruption of the state of illinois, and the ineptitude of the city of chicago. all rolled into one, big, beautiful passage. i love it. the thought of the "pride and joy of illinois" moving to indiana ia so awesome. but i really doubt it ever happens. they will wait until the veto session and get something passed. if the bears had a smart person in charge, this would have been done long ago. but they are owned by stupid nepo babies and they hired the emptiest suit in america: kevin warren. theyve done everything they can to screw this up since. i love it. Having been in Illinois for work a lot in the last year, I’ve been blown away by the amount of ingrained institutional incompetence and corruption. They make Michigan look like a well-oiled machine in comparison. I agree with you though. It’d be hilarious to see them botch this into the joke that would be the Hammond Bears. And I doubt it actually happens. Let’s not forget the Bears already bought that former racetrack property in Arlington Heights for $200MM. Who’s going to buy that from them?! Everyone is posturing. Everyone is posturing. kevin warren came in and completely botched everything. his bro-mance with brandon johnson and his misguided attempt to create "leverage" alienated just about everyone. after his misadventures with the big ten, i'm surprised anyone would hire him. wait, its the bears. im not surprised at all. they had a site that was so perfect. it was big enough, its easily accessible. its in the richest part of the state (northern chicago suburbs), but they moved too soon. they needed to get state approval for some things before they bought it. ultimately, they dont know how to get things done in this stupid state. and they messed it up by hiring warren, who then messed it up by getting johnson involved and not listening to the people in springfield. i PRAY that they move to hammond indiana. on a TOXIC WASTE SITE! right next to a bunch of refinieries! that would be amazing. 1 Quote
