I know many say McKinstry can't repeat 2025, but the Tigers may want to keep McKinstry in the lineup on a regular basis until he proves he can't repeat the 3.2 fWAR silver slugger season.

I do know a few people who are from evangelical families who no longer believe, but keep quiet around families to avoid being ostracized. I have no idea how common this is. I do know that 'knowing a guy' isn't exactly proof of anything. Still interesting.

If you ask the Falun Gong/Shen Yun types in America you'll hear that Xi is no longer alive or is no longer in control. If you look at Drudge you'll see a lot of alarmist stuff. Its shrugs from me. My preference is they are kept off the warpath because they fear we smack them hard enough to cause regime collapse. That's what they fear.

I would guess the 'agnostic' designation includes a lot of folks who grew in some religious doctrinal system, reached a point (for a wide variety of reasons) where they no longer accept any of the received doctrine, but still have the sense that they don't understand existence at any fundamental level and are left in a state of irresolution. I think that's quite a bit different from a person who has come to a positively objectivist view that nothing they can't see can exist. I think the big shift in the works is that as attendance at Churhes fall, fewer people are getting that doctrinal education in the first place and their agnosticism is even more ...diffuse (for lack of better word). 🕉️

I think there are a lot who would have identified as “Christian” in 1980 but today do not because of what’s happened since Falwell and company bastardized it. Their beliefs are generally the same.
