  1. He wasn't chucking, but teammates were looking for him, and he was taking reasonable shots. There was one play very late, maybe less than a minute, down by 6?..... A steal off of an inbounds and he had a layup, although he was kind of under the backboard with the way the momentum of it all worked out, and he missed it. It wasn't an easy shot, but man, if he'd have hit that, I honestly think he might have willed them to victory. Good for him. Tough game to watch because of course they were down by 20 at one point. But Flynn had the personal game of his life. That was fun to see.
  2. Flynnsanity. Ima copywrite that one.
  3. So, Cunningham out tonight. Supposedly it was load management. But it wasn’t known to the players until right before tip off? Do I have that right? What an absolutely rudderless barge of crap this organization is.
  4. He’s going to get 40.
  5. They’d be down by 30 if it weren’t for Malachi Flynn. Let that sink in.
  6. The weather might be better tomorrow, but will the field be playable? It’d be less than ideal to make this up elsewhere in the season, but it’d be lesser if injury occurs due to sloppy grounds.
  7. Well, thank goodness the Pistons are TV on tonight.
  8. I had forgotten about the extra player. Huzzah!
  9. Not a bad idea, but the kids will be home.
  10. My house is in the path of totality. I scheduled the day off work a long while ago to enjoy it, all 90 seconds or whatever. It passes through the area around the time many schools are letting out. I thought it was a bit odd that they hadn't cancelled already (they since have) due to the liability concerns over transportation with a possibility chaotic idiocy on the roads. Or you get the random kid that does look at the eclipse and then the parents want to sue the school system. I don't know if panic is the word, but the local news stations have been talking up the eclipse for a while now. It does sound like a lot of area hotels are booked for the event. The more I think about, the more I'm happy with the fact that I'm just staying home for the day. Hermitism for the win that day. But I didn't stock up on Bell's Oberon Eclipse. I'm going to have to remember to not commit that faux pas for the next eclipse.
  11. At least they've called off the locusts.
  12. If I'm the Twins' front office and Buxton hits the IL because of a costumed weenie, I'm looking for draft compensation.
  13. One of the aspects that I like about the deal is that the Tigers acquired a legitimate CF and a possible SS, both with some above average potential skill sets. I like building up the middle that way. In particular, I like the prospect of someone like Clark in CF with the bat that comes along with it.
  14. Be careful out there today.
  15. Maybe some sunshine for the next game thread leadoff post?
  16. I’d bet he’s ready to go now. Well, do we know Hinch is just pushing the rotation back in order? This would push everyone else back a few days. It might be more ideal to skip Mize for now (have him pitch a short simulated bullpen) and try to keep the other SP on a more regular schedule.
  17. Poor Casey Mize. He finally gets to return to actual MLB regular season action and this delay happens.
  18. Those wretched hooligans? Off the Christmas card list.
  19. Is FaBo the same thing that my daughter refers to as snapchat for old people?
  20. What is wrong with you? Have you ever been to a game? Have you ever watched Slapshot? Have you ever had a Labatt?
  21. I plan on watching if there is a game. Forecast looks to be 69 degrees and dry, although the basement is a little cooler if I have to use that TV. The roof will be closed.
  22. May 10th is vs Houston. Does that factor into it by chance? SPACE CITY jerseys vs MOTOR CITY jerseys?
  23. This seems a banishable offence.
  24. I interpret it as the Tigers softened up the Jerk Sox for the Braves to have an easy series.
