Of course he's frustrated. I have no doubt about that. I just wonder if the frustration has been mounting upon the problem and making things worse for himself.

Its probably not fair of me to call it just a L/L matchup, you're right. I'm sure he had some other rationale and I know he likes to look ahead in the game at possible matchups. I guess I don't see the reward for PHing him with two out in the 5th when that spot in the lineup is coming up again. Not for Carpenter, anyway. Now, McKinstry or Keith, I am more amenable to it.

For the record, I don't like PHing for Carpenter that early in a game. I understand the general lefty on lefty situation at hand. I'm just not all that worried about Carpenter vs Nardi.

Still leading MLB in doubles, too. So, wait, is it going to be like reverse Lent? Is he going to going 40 straight games with a homer and that's how he is getting to 40? He's got the first 2 games in a row down already. It seems like that might be a record.

Waiting out bad contracts? There's one. And he still provides plenty of defense and baserunning (well, ok, this is few and far between given the bat).

Ha, I just looked at the tweet above which has Dillingham and Sheppard going 3 and 4. I was looking at another mock that had them something like 6 and 8 which is where I thought about those two. I suppose there’s going to be pretty good variance on who goes where this draft. I know the Pistons need a lot, but it seems like outside shooting would unravel a lot of knots in the offense. Maybe it’s not good to focus on a singular attribute like that, but it ain’t like this draft is chock full of highly diversely skilled players.

26.1% from 3? Pass. Get some outside shooting to help out Cunningham. Would Dillingham or Sheppard be better fits?

The lottery is what it is. This franchise isn't an abhorrent mess because of ping pong balls or frozen envelopes or tin foil hats. This franchise is a complete dumpster fire because its front office is only two qualified clowns short of a circus.

He’s had a pretty good week. Hopefully he’s figured something out and we’re seeing this going forward. They need to lengthen the lineup out as much as possible. A rejuvenated Torkelson and a maturing Keith would really help out.
