  1. Credibility isn’t a line item on an income statement.
  2. I struggle with the lyrics as well. My daughters are in musicals. I’ll go to each showing, usually 3 or 4 per production. I get some of it the first time, more of it the next time, so on and so forth.
  3. That last sentence is it. It all depends on the return. I’m not saying they should move on from Greene. But I wouldn’t offer an extension, nor would I consider him untouchable. Same thing with Carpenter. I’d think he’d have less trade value than Greene, which is fine. He could still be used to acquire some pitching depth. I think going into next season, an OF of Greene, Meadows, Vierling, and Perez ain’t bad all around.
  4. I love that scene.
  5. They could have easily packed it in. What, they’ve won 14 of 16? So they were 69-70 when this started. It’s kind of, from a macro perspective, similar to what the Tigers did last season. They aren’t doing it in the exact same way with pitching chaos. But while we naturally look at it from Detroit’s perspective, they certainly deserve recognition.
  6. Hinch and Harris recognize MWG from the games. They sought him out for this favor.
  7. Stavenhagen mentioned on the pod that the Tigers will have only 2 LHPs available vs LHB heavy Cleveland.
  8. I felt the same way about the trade deadline and Morton. I was wrong. Part of my rationale with being willing to move on from Carpenter or another OF is to acquire pitching from that bit of OF depth that i think they have.
  9. As cruddy as the last 3 series have been, they’re still a game up in the division. Hey, the playoffs are as simple as win the series and move on. Might as well start that math on Tuesday in Cleveland.
  10. The last sentence:
  11. Scroll down 😆
  12. I’m here for it. Bring it.
  13. Yeah, that’s why I thought Rainey was a poor choice. That said, I don’t know the health of the rest of the bullpen. It’s possible the options were very limited.
  14. 1 for 11 with RISP. 2 baserunners in 8 innings (per the graphic on the TV). Zero, zip, zilch, nada runs.
  15. Looking like a perfect 6-0 final week. I’ll take it.
  16. He shouldn’t have been in a 3 run ballgame.
  17. Hold on, Delaware is now FCS?
  18. OK, OK, its time for this silliness to stop.
  19. I think that Tigers have a bit of excess OF depth to trade from in order to address some P depth concerns.
  20. Just to be clear, I'm not saying that trading either Carpenter or Greene would be as a sell-low dumping. Both are cost quality and controllable players. Are there trade options out there where someone would be in excess of their value and/or with different skill sets that could improve the Tigers?
  21. Russell Branyan's career %s were 32 & 11.
  22. Nah, it won’t be.
  23. I wonder what they could command for him (or Carpenter)? Can they find a pain in the butt type of leadoff hitter that can field LF like Kwan?
