  1. I like mine with lettuce and tomato, Heinz 57 and French fried potato….. Sorry, that’s just a natural reaction I have. But that burger looks good.
  2. Antonio McDyess would have appreciated that.
  3. Heading into this game, the league average scoring per game per team is 4.63 runs/game. The Tigers are scoring 3.83 and allowing 2.17 (only Boston has allowed fewer, 2.00).
  4. That photo of Trammell and Whitaker doffing their caps at second base in Tiger Stadium is the background on my computer.
  5. OK, but just let the streakers streak. I want to hear Benetti's call for that one.
  6. Geeez, I also thought Ivey and Duren were an absolute steal for the Pistons. I want to say they still have untapped potential, but I could be overestimating them. And even if they have that growth there, is this franchise going to get that growth out of them? And I'll add this, too. If trading them away is the best option, is this franchise capable of making the best of that move?
  7. Looks like a great day to start another 5 banger. Huzzah!
  8. That might be one way to see if the league is paying attention to the Pistons. Obviously its questionable given nothing came about from Weaver's little exchange of pleasantries with a fan a month of so ago.
  9. I don't think that was "down in flames". Sure, he lost. Down in flames would have been an absolute ass kicking whereby the (R)s wouldn't consider him as their candidate again. Semantics aside, I think there's a healthy fear for the upcoming election. I don't subscribe to the confidence bravado that others seem to have.
  10. I think we've heard this before. And yet, it didn't happen.
  11. Sure, I get that the newer fields have pretty good drainage. But, how much rain has it taken it in a relatively short amount of time? There's a breaking point somewhere. Hopefully it doesn't involve an OF's ankle.
  12. I question the excuse on its face. I wonder if there's about to be a public revelation about how awful things are in the locker room.
  13. He wasn't chucking, but teammates were looking for him, and he was taking reasonable shots. There was one play very late, maybe less than a minute, down by 6?..... A steal off of an inbounds and he had a layup, although he was kind of under the backboard with the way the momentum of it all worked out, and he missed it. It wasn't an easy shot, but man, if he'd have hit that, I honestly think he might have willed them to victory. Good for him. Tough game to watch because of course they were down by 20 at one point. But Flynn had the personal game of his life. That was fun to see.
  14. Flynnsanity. Ima copywrite that one.
  15. So, Cunningham out tonight. Supposedly it was load management. But it wasn’t known to the players until right before tip off? Do I have that right? What an absolutely rudderless barge of crap this organization is.
  16. He’s going to get 40.
  17. They’d be down by 30 if it weren’t for Malachi Flynn. Let that sink in.
  18. The weather might be better tomorrow, but will the field be playable? It’d be less than ideal to make this up elsewhere in the season, but it’d be lesser if injury occurs due to sloppy grounds.
  19. Well, thank goodness the Pistons are TV on tonight.
  20. I had forgotten about the extra player. Huzzah!
  21. Not a bad idea, but the kids will be home.
  22. My house is in the path of totality. I scheduled the day off work a long while ago to enjoy it, all 90 seconds or whatever. It passes through the area around the time many schools are letting out. I thought it was a bit odd that they hadn't cancelled already (they since have) due to the liability concerns over transportation with a possibility chaotic idiocy on the roads. Or you get the random kid that does look at the eclipse and then the parents want to sue the school system. I don't know if panic is the word, but the local news stations have been talking up the eclipse for a while now. It does sound like a lot of area hotels are booked for the event. The more I think about, the more I'm happy with the fact that I'm just staying home for the day. Hermitism for the win that day. But I didn't stock up on Bell's Oberon Eclipse. I'm going to have to remember to not commit that faux pas for the next eclipse.
  23. At least they've called off the locusts.
