  1. Bad joke was bad I guess.
  2. Speaking of grab & go Taco Bell.... WATCH: Man comes to dead stop on I-75, eats Taco Bell
  3. Rogers has missed a lot of game time. He might show well enough in camp, but I’d wait on it.
  4. Maybe, maybe not. He doesn’t control the strike zone and he isn’t really versatile. I think his defense is due for a sharp step back without the shift.
  5. Harris is combing the waiver wire for a GM.
  6. Assuming reasonable health and no other significant changes between now and then: Green will be the CF. He's earned it. Baez will be the SS. He's earned it (over the course of his career). Meadows will be the RF vs RHPs for sure. He's earned it (over the course of his career). Cabrera will be the DH around every other day at minimum when healthy. Haase will be the primary C. Everything else is probably up in the air, and lineups will likely be different on a day to day basis. Certainly there is hope that Torkelson earns 1B out of camp and that they can cobble together a roster that is well rounded and flexible as there are probably going to be many platoons, call ups, send downs, etc.
  7. He drew, what, 3 or 4 charges today? Another loss, but they were undersized, Bojanovich was out, Stewart got into early foul trouble, etc, etc. On to Paris.
  8. We’re not allowed to hope for better than we’ve got.
  9. It’s Sunday. We should all be polite to one another day.
  10. Has he posted his expected 2029 Tiger roster yet?
  11. It’s worth noting the injury recovery. What’s baffling is that his hard hit rate and BABIP, and SLG aren’t just career lows, they are absolute outliers. I suppose small sample size is part of the reason.
  12. Cow tippin’ party?
  13. So, let’s pretend I’m an idiot. I don’t know what the -12500 means. But it appears this individual wagered $1.4M in order to turn that into $1.4…M, a net gain of only $11,200? So the risk is losing that $1.4M and the reward is recapturing the $1.4M along with the $11.2K? Seems not worth the effort, but I could be wrong.
  14. New York Knicks vs Detroit Pistons
  15. Shreve doesn’t seem to be a good pitcher either, but he’s also on a minor league deal. $3M isn’t much for a not good pitcher, sure. It just seems like there are better options than Cisnero, especially with all of the waiver wire claims being brought in along with the already in house options. I would bet had Cisnero been nontendered, he’d have gotten no more than a minor league deal with an invite to camp and incentives based on making the major league roster out of camp, incentives for innings pitched, an opt out of the minor league deal after camp if he didn’t make the major league roster.
  16. I’m still hungover from trading Soto away.
  17. Oh, I wanted Soto gone, too. I see no use for pitchers that walk as many batters as he and Cisnero do. Maybe I’m wrong, but I prefer Tiger pitchers get outs rather than allow free passes.
  18. For the record, I advised cutting Cisnero in October. Unfortunately, Harris missed my post.
  19. I was busy then. Just catching up now.
  20. I had forgotten about the pitch clock this season.
  21. Well, yeah, he’s not pitching right now, so….
  22. He’s had proven lack of success, too. Hey, if he were on the other side of 30, it’s more understandable to me to keep him.
  23. And Patrick Beverley.
  24. Given his age and history and given the amount of waiver wire churn that Harris has created, I’m not sure how Cisnero warrants a guaranteed roster spot. It’s baffling, especially considering Harris’ stated desire to dominate the strike zone, which Cisnero’s walk rates kind of don’t line up with.
  25. Rubber arm? He’s strictly a one inning per outing pitcher as evidenced by his statistical history. He’s pitched 61 innings in 2021 and 25 innings in 2022. This hardly a measure of durability and/or stamina.
