  1. Yes, it was. Reaching to his left for the catch and back to the right for the tag. Grossman did a good job fielding it as well, but the throw was up the line a bit much.
  2. Anybody else notice that there must be a field microphone that has been picking up footsteps on the BSD broadcast? Maybe it’s around the on deck circle? It sounds like cleats in the gravel & dirt. I like it as background ambience.
  3. Nice inning out of Hill there. Sure would be a boost to get 6 or 7 out of him today.
  4. What the heck was Candelario doing there? Boo that idea.
  5. Would you want to wear that hat for more than 3 innings today?
  6. Whatever gives you your false sense of superiority over everyone else.
  7. I saw a red Expos hat today. I didn’t know those existed.
  8. Oh, sure, kick us in the nads whilst where already writhing on the ground in pain.
  9. Or where does Paredes level off at? The ISO and hard hit rates are too far off the charts to be considered sustainable.
  10. Oh boy, here we go again, everyone is picking on Chuck.
  11. Is it old? Put the Meadows season aside. I think we can all agree that has been flukey as all get out. But the Paredes thing, if he hits like this, what does that say about Detroit’s talent evaluation and development? I suppose it could also be considered a fluke, much like the Tigers resurrected JD Martinez’ career. Or was that more Martinez and the Tigers were just lucky enough to have offered the opportunity?
  12. As joyless as the team is, it’s still better to be in the middle of the baseball season rather than the more joyless off-season.
  13. @Tigeraholic1 must be hittin' the sauce early.
  14. Cleveland Guardians (40-36) at Detroit Tigers (30-47)
  15. Its July 4th and CastroW and Cameron each have more HRs than Meadows. This season sucks so much.
  16. I was looking at the aggregate numbers. I mean, we could also look at CastroW's career lines and note that he hit .932 in 36 games in 2020. This season sucks so much.
  17. He's following that up with a crisp .629 in Toledo this season. His walk rate been reduced by half from last Toledo season to this Toledo season. For his career at AAA (which, ok, some of which was at the tender ages of 22-23), he's at .716. Wasn't he also called out a bit earlier this season? It would seem answering that with a .629 isn't a recipe for success. I get that CastroW in the OF should be handled in Toledo. But Cameron hasn't really forced that issue by forcing the call up to replace CastroW in the OF.
  18. There's a place for him now, and that's probably an indictment on the organization's positional depth at the upper levels.
