  1. Needed to be bolded and/or italicized.
  2. Let’s put it in perspective. We put up with you.
  3. Be honest, you ran the sprinklers last night, didn't you?
  4. And that's just the on field stuff. Has anyone every heard of a bad Hank Aaron story off of the field?
  5. If that's the case, do you just give him tomorrow off as well, day off on Monday, and activate him for Tuesday?
  6. I'm not suggesting it would make $en$e, but I'm just asking the question.
  7. Anyone thinks he pulls a John Kruk, gets to first on a single, and then decides to retire immediately?
  8. San Francisco put baseball on notice earlier this season. Heck, it might have been the first series of the season. They are not going to let down. They will need to be stopped. Run differential is a tie breaker for playoff eligibility (and perhaps a tie breaker for the division, I don't know), and extra runs scored now are the same as extra runs scored in September. Additionally, this is the beginning of the series. I have no problem with trying to wipe out the opponents' pitching staff for the series in the 1st game of the series. If there's an opportunity on Friday to gain an edge for Saturday and Sunday. Nobody is doing anything untoward as far as trying to injure anyone else like going in spikes up or throwing at batters' heads or anything like that. Don't like it? Do a better job of shutting the opponent down.
  9. Why wouldn't he be called up? They still have 27 innings to cover this weekend.
  10. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1148575705877790 Highlights of the Toledo Walleye OT victory over the Cincinnati Cyclones. Feel free to fast forward to the OT highlight about 2 minutes in. I wonder if the game winner was performed as drawn up?
  11. So he’ll be safe at 2nd? Hmmmm…. I wonder if Vegas has odds on #3,000 being a triple?
  12. The adrenaline and the warm weather should make it easier.
  13. Hmmm…. So now what to do with Cabrera in the nightcap if he goes hitless in the matinee? Again, I think Hinch allows Cabrera to make the call if he plays or sits this weekend. There probably was a bump in ticket sales for #3,000. And with Monday being an off day, Cabrera can probably DH 3 games in 2 days that are bookended by off days.
  14. Death, taxes, and Nelson Cruz demolishing the Tigers. Those are the only guarantees in life. — Casimir 3:16
  15. Should’of scooted the game down to Monroe.
  16. Just scoot it down to Monroe.
  17. Well, never mind for now. Looks like he’s on the IL. Thanks a lot @Tigeraholic1.
  18. Blame Boone. Fire Ausmus. That’s like a haiku or a sonnet or something, right?
  19. That's a good point. If Baddoo doesn't get it going (either at the plate or in the field), he may find himself switching places with Hill.
  20. I actually had a thought about Grossman, Cabrera/Meadows, and Meadows/Cabrera at the top of the lineup. Grossman is still getting on base via walk, although he is really pulling the ball early on (53% vs career 29%). And, sure, move Torkelson up higher, because he seems to be doing well enough after his 0fer. What do you do with Reyes? He's been one of the more productive bats, but, come on, its Victor Reyes, we've seen this act before, right? Or have the mechanical changes done him a favor? Heck, I'll go with it. Grossman, 9 Cabrera, DH Meadows, 7 Torkelson, 3 Candelario, 5 Reyes. 8 Haase, 2 Castro, 6 Schoop, 4
  21. Wacky game in Toledo. Zach Short (1st inning) and Daz Cameron (2nd inning) get rung up on 3rd strikes via pitch clock infractions (which I need to trademark as stalled 3rd strikes). Then a called check swing strike gets hitting coach Adam Mellhuse and manager Lloyd McClendon tossed. The batter after that is awarded 1st due to catcher's interference. And Joey Wentz is pitching right handed. (OK, that last part might be false).
  22. Monday is an off day. Its supposed to be warm on Saturday and Sunday. And right now Cabrera is one of the best bats in the lineup. Hinch needs to manage the club for the season, but I bet he let's Cabrera decide whether or not he sits this weekend.
  23. He's getting tonight off.
  24. The next time the Tigers are on the road and they face some kid at the plate taking his first cuts in an MLB game, they need to lob it up there so they can let him get a hit. Otherwise its a "dick move" per some of you whiners.
  25. Hold on now, @chasfh, it was a lefty pitching. He's got Ls all over his damn name. Hell, Luetge rhymes with LOOGY for crying out loud. It was the absolute correct move to walk Cabrera and pitch to Meadows. To criticize it, especially for anyone so sabermetrically inclined, is absolute malarkey. And to cry about robbing the crowd of a chance at 3,000,..... seriously? Go pound sand with your left hand. And while we're on the topic of left hands, this is good stuff:
