The only thing that will be more spectacular than Candelario's 1th inning grand slam will be Torkelson's 1th inning grand slam. Eat it, Jerk Sox. -

If this ain't a sign that the baseball gods are on the Tigers' side this season, then I don't know what else to tell ya. -

We're finally here. -
I think this is more relatable than the counting stats. Probably not as analytically good as per 36 minute or per 100 possession stats or some of the other advanced stats, but I think they work fine for a quick glance.

Ima do the 9/9/9 with fish sticks instead of hot dogs. And always remember to annunciate “fish sticks” correctly. Sometimes this two words combined together sound like boy fish parts. -

You look at the shooting stats and you wonder if the starters were shooting at a smaller hoop than the bench was shooting at. -

OK, that's not bad, that's a way to try to make amends. But I'd rather see him play. -
The Mud Hens have been moving position players around in its first two games, and it's probably something we'll see throughout the season. Short played SS on Tuesday and CF on Wednesday (looks like his first time in CF in pro ball). Clemens played LF on Tuesday (looks like his first time in OF in pro ball) and 2B on Wednesday. Kreidler played 3B on Tuesday and SS on Wednesday. Robson played CF on Tuesday and LF on Wednesday. Lopez played 2B on Tuesday and 3B on Wednesday. Valente DHed, Lester played 1B, and Cameron played RF both days. Lavarnway caught Tuesday and Rabago caught Wednesday. CastroW will find time in there somewheres and likely a part of the rotation that moves around a bit.

Is it really going to move the needle on subscriptions? I'm not buying a subscription for two games. My guess is that I'm not alone.

Tricky thing about both Pistons' games is that they get both Milwaukee and Philadelphia on the back end of their respective back-to-backs. Milwaukee hosts Boston tonight (and Boston is in the 2-4 seed maelstrom) and then plays at Detroit the next night. Philadelphia hosts Indiana on Saturday and then hosts Detroit on Sunday. Milwaukee, if they care about seeding, is going to spend effort tonight for sure. Facing Detroit is the least of their worries right now. Its an easy game for the Bucks to overlook. Another wrinkle is that Detroit at Philadelphia is a nightcap to Milwaukee at Cleveland. Philadelphia might be taking the floor with its known seed in hand on Sunday night. The Pistons, despite the lack of talent depth, are playing hard. For all of the warts that they might have, they're playing hard. It's really not difficult to see a situation where they win their last two games of the season despite the discrepancy between their record and their opponents' records.

Isn't there some silly rule about no transactions between MLB & the minors at the beginning of this season to prevent constant shuffling back & forth? I thought I heard something along those lines, but it could just be the voices in my head.

I heard this yesterday on Dan Patrick, and I can't believe that was the first that I had heard of it.

I will fully admit to being a homer and clicking just to see where Liddell (57) and Branham (18) were on the list. I think those names are flop flipped.

The real question is what does Lynn Henning think?

That's hard to mentally visualize for someone that's lived their whole life around the Toledo area. By the way, the Komets are going down tonight. Go Fish!
