If you see that you've got the "Bad Jack" (or any of the others), don't be afraid to start the chaos right away. But if you happen to get the good version of any of them, you can let them keep going.

Really must win this game

I don't get all of the angst about Harris' deadline moves. He did EXACTLY what has has said all along he was going to do. Since he arrived he has broadcast that his goal is to build a team that is successful long-term through draft and development and that he would not trade that long-term goal away for short-term success. His moves at the deadline were exactly what we should expect. If we had any other expectations then either we have not been listening over the past three years or we were being delusional. And, since Harris (et all) has our team in first place, I'm inclined to trust him and enjoy the ride. Watching winning baseball and the praying we win the crap-shoot called the playoffs is a pretty good life.

I would agree. Torres has been a wonderful addition this year, but we won't be signing him to another contract. It would be wise to let him walk and get paid by another team. Hopefully his successful season here in Detroit will encourage others to consider coming here on one year contracts to try to rebuild their value.

I'm guessing we get to see Kahnle pitch today, and (on a related note) Houston will break their scoreless streak.

I saw a facebook post showing the best player this season for each uniform number. I searched for Skubal and couldn't find him. #29 is also Cal Raleigh's number and they picked him. Tough choice on #29!

I really like Seattle's stadium. Even when the roof is "closed", it is still open to the outdoors. It feels like the best of both worlds.
