Things didn't get bad until guys like Rush Limbaugh and his counterparts on AM radio and propaganda arms of the Republican Party started telling us that Democrats are the tool of the Devil and White Christian Republicans are God's chosen people.

I'm old enough to remember when a Conservative Gov of California pushed for gun control regulations after a few African Americans showed up on the grounds of the state capitol. You might want to look him up, guys name was Reagan. I also remember when the NRA stood for gun education and safety until a conservative lobbyist named LaPierre coopted the organization and paid a guy who was famous for mostly B movies (Moses was a bit part) to make an appearance promoting guns for everyone. The NRA and other manufacturers lobbies are more responsible than whatever "liberal Democrat" policies that I can think of. Hell we even had shoot em up westerns back in the 50s and 60s.... The current weapons of choice were not around in the 1950s and 60s. We had mostly hunting rifles and shotguns. The most popular rifle was a .22 or 30/06. Nothing that was capable of firing the number of rounds or as rapid as today's arsenal.

There was more fire power at the school than defenders of the Alamo

So that's one instance in how many similar events. The Tigers have a better record of wins.

Probably paid someone to take it for him or his crazy doctor gave him the answers in advance.

Newspapers much like much of smaller market broadcasting is now owned by venture capitalist groups. You'll normally find a small handful of employees available to cover stories that they used to cover 10, 20, 30 years ago. Usually one person who has to juggle city hall, school boards, courts, etc. The same happened beginning 30 years or so ago with local broadcast media. It's all part of the dumbing of America. Everything has become a McDonalds or Starbucks.

If convicted he should be turned into an eunuch and made to share a cell with a very large “friend” for several years.

GasBuddy is showing about a $.20 spread. The ones closest to us off the Interstate are running $4.69 which is down a bit from last week. Closer to grocery, fast food and just outside the tourist strip is $4.49..there's a bit mote competition there.

I've been seeing that there is some movement to reorder the primary dates away from the traditional Iowa, New Hampshire openers. I think Nevada is in the mix to take over the #1 spot. Not sure if it makes much difference. I've also been intrigued by ranked choice voting. I've seen mixed results(NYC and Alaska for examples). I'm with you. I think states that traditionally trend for the Democrats should get first cracks at early voting, or go to 4 regional Super Tuesdays...

I see Virginia slipped to #3. Maybe if our Rookie Governor spent more time courting business and less time campaigning for his next job. On second thought, nevermind

This. Any Congress critter who voted against the election results on 1/6/21 will never get my vote no matter how much money he claims to bring to the local shipyard.
