And they don't have to all be HOF'ers. I'm not certain if ATF wants All-Stars at every position... But we're not the Yankees or Dodgers. We won in 1984 with Lance Parrish, Tom Brookens, Howard Johnson, Larry Herndon, Dave Bergman & Darrell Evans, with a collective OPS+ of about 100. About 5 out of 9 offensive positions. Our 4 top offensive players that year were Trammell & Whitaker, Gibson & Lemon. Average 135 OPS+. Replace our 3 weakest positions in 2021 with Baez, Tork & Greene, and you have almost the same dynamic. Although I feel more comfortable with that in 2023 than in 2022... And there may still be more bats added, although I don't think Avila is in a rush to do so this year, we can always add more next offseason, and... Avila did say it might be a multi-year process... Yeah, I believe him. In 2023 we get Jake Rogers back, maybe Dingler is breaking into MLB, I think Miggy will be "retired" and replaced with a nice bat.... If ATF wants another top-tier bat, 2022 off-season is the place to be... I think 2022 will be a "making strides" and "growing pains" year (for all the kids), and 2023 coalesces much more around a highly competitive chase after the World Series. If we make the playoffs in 2022 I will count us as being lucky and everything falling into place like we hope it will... But I'm not counting on it just yet...

Is H Diallo turning into something? He has the opportunity and minutes right now... If so: 1) What is he turning into exactly? 2) When do we trade Josh Jackson.? Err... how soon can we get him out of Detroit? That's what I meant... 3) For that matter, same with Cory Joseph? I know we get nothing for either one of those guys... just asking for a friend...

Nobody thinks he's the QB of the future. Find a quote ANYWHERE that says he's the QB of the future. The only quotes you will find, and I'm ready to guarantee this, is that he can "hold the fort" for the next year or two until we find our QB of the future, or similar. "He's a stopgap", "He can hold the fort for another year or two", "We can wait until 2023 to draft a QB since this year's class sucks and Goff can get us by until then...". Find me something different than the above. I don't think you can.

I don't think they see him as such. Just guessing... but I think everyone sees him as a stopgap, and it's not that difficult to see. I think that includes the front office & coaching staff too.

I'd put CB behind: QB WR1 WR2 Pass-Rusher (could be DE or LB'er) Linebacker (2 of them) Safety TE2

Also, Melifonwu. I'm fine with giving the CB's a year before drafting them again to see what shakes out... So many needs in 2022 anyways that CB could easily be an afterthought...

Another Republican as president and this country will have another GREAT RECESSION like the one Bush caused.
