I was thinking about this thread idea as a bin for things that people are seeing and doing to raise awareness of the monstrous wrecking of our Democracy underway from Trump. I was inspired to this by my elderly father and his very small group of church friends writing hard copy letters to their GOP representative out in west Michigan. So, not all of us have his credentials of Korean War veteran/GOP for life until 2015 but we can do a lot. Organizing and protesting in the ways we can while we still have speech.

I noticed an interesting thing at a breakfast among a bunch of older Livonian dudes...basically a group in their 70s who were a mix of political persuasions. They were all asking the AI for answers to questions. People appear to be using AI for this role. The more complex responses the better.

Per the poli sci guys the real wave elections come once every 15 years and will sweep away a lot of people not normally seen as marginal. The people who are able to stem the tide in those are the ones who keep their fingers on the pulse of their local electorates. Now, Elon can probably spend and carpet bomb campaigns in an unfettered way now that he's got control of the Federal Treasury for his own ends. Hard to measure the effects of Elonunism.

The spectacle of a town hall that goes bad will quickly turn to refusing to do town halls. Refusing to do town halls means they lose touch with the voter. That's what will cost them their seats. Elon's money is a powerful weapon but he also wasn't elected and he's ruining people's lives.
