Good news though the game is in Philadelphia and I think the Flyers might still be mathematically alive (if the Flyers win in regulation those teo teams will be tied in points, RWs and ROWs. Don’t know to be honest. Edit: Sounds like Flyers are still alive, if this accurate. Good! Want them to be motivated.

The Wings need to gain at least a point on the Islanders tonight or else it will be impossible for the Wings to catch NYI. To catch NYI, the Wings would need to gain 3 points on the Islanders over the final 2 games; Wings win the tiebreaker in that case. - Nashville at Pittsburgh. If the Wings win and Pittsburgh loses in regulation, the Wings will be safe from being caught by Pittsburgh. If the Wings win AND Caps lose in regulation AND Pens lose in any way tonight, the Wings will control their destiny by picking up 3 points in their final 2 games.

Pens lose in regulation! So now very simple, if the Wings win their next 2, they just need Washington to drop a point to either Boston or Philly (or NYI to lose both of their remaining games in regulation). There is a scenario where the Wings could get in with 3 pts, but it gets more complicated. Wings can’t get in with only 2 more points.
