  1. Poor Bob. Poor us the viewers. It’s getting painful.
  2. Leafs get shut out by the Habs 1-0 in the season opener for both teams. Leafs offensively played like the Cleveland Guardians on ice.
  3. Sean Casey saluting Tigers fans.
  4. Mets win and advance to the NLDS. What a terrible call by Costas on the Isbel double. He was asleep until the ball landed. He is having a rough playoffs. 2-2 Yankees-Royals in the 5th inning.
  5. Lindor is something else. Grand slam in 6th inning gives Mets a 4-1 lead as they try to end series tonight.
  6. Baseball has never been ad-free. 100 years ago cigarette companies and others had big ads on outfield walls. Radio broadcasts from the 1930s available on YouTube have the play by plays plugging multiple products per at-bat. Only ads that really annoy me are logos embedded into the pitcher’s mound (like Corona during Mets-Phillies right now) and the Nike swoosh because it disrupts the front of the jersey I’m fine with side patches and helmet ads I’d pay money to have the option to turn off all graphics when I don’t need them. The strike zone box, the score box, the network’s logo. Would like a clean view of the field.
  7. And I’m not sure the Yankees are a much tougher matchup than the Royals right now. Especially if Judge struggles. KC’s pitching matches the Yankees’.
  8. First few seconds of this short clip is the Guardians after Game 1. The balance is the Tigers in games 2 and 3.
  9. That’s what I was getting on the MLB radio app but I switched to Sirius XM amd listening to Dan D and Andy Dirks now.
  10. Yep. 31-13 to end the regular season. 4-1 to start the season. Possible to win the Series going 9-7 the rest of the way.
  11. Tell them to toss it up in the air and see if the wind takes it all the way.
  12. This will be the fourth time these playoffs the Tigers will take a 3-run lead to the 9th. Game 1 at Astros was scary but won 3-1. Game 2 at Astros and Game 2 at Guardians were routine 9ths. Is this game Foley-proof?
  13. DEE-FENSE! 3-0 at 7th inning stretch.
  14. Big moment. 2 on 1 out with heart of Guardians’ order coming up. Escape artist Beau Briske coming in.
  15. “4 Canadians on the Guardians’ playoff roster”. Screw ‘em.
  16. Wasn’t it Rusty Kuntz with the pop fly RBI for the 4th run to break 3-3 tie and then Lance Parrish making it 5-3 with a homer a bit later for the GW RBI?
  17. What I remember about 2014 was us fans feeling negative about the team even before the series began. I'm not sure why. This Game 1 lineup was pretty strong and the playoff rotation started with Scherzer, Verlander and Price. The Tigers' regular season record was 90-72. Not sure why even down 2-0 to a 96-win team the fans gave up so easily.
  18. It was a big moment and Hamilton treated it as such. Instead of sounding like his dog had died, as announcers of some announcers would have.
  19. In the 2006 ALDS, the Tigers split the first two games at the Yankees, came home and won two straight to win the series 3-1. In the 2011 ALDS, the Tigers split the first two games at the Yankees, came home and won game 3 but lost game 4, then won Game 5 in New York. In the 2012 ALDS, the Tigers won the first two games at Comerica, then lost the next two games in Oakland, but won Game 5 still in Oakland. In the 2013 ALDS, the Tigers split the first two games in Oakland, then split the next two games at Comerica, then went back to Oakland and won Game 5.
