  1. Grand Canyon University? Does Wilson take a mule down to Phantom Ranch to get to class?
  2. Skenes has a skeevy moustache.
  3. Easy for Harris to be patient, he just got here. We on the other hand have been suffering for almost a decade.
  4. Oh for god’s sake. Clark, boo.
  5. Yeah I was i wanting Crews by slight margin but I’m now less nervous about skipping down to Jenkins or Clark at #3.
  6. Skenes to the Pirates.
  7. Story in today’s Washington Post on weather analytics for baseball. https://wapo.st/3D47OJZ For every 1 degree Celsius (1.8 degree Fahrenheit) increase in temperature, the number of home runs in a game increases by 1.96 percent, according to a study published in April that analyzed home run and weather data from more than 100,000 MLB games between 1962 and 2019. The study found that more than 500 home runs since 2010 can be linked to climate warming, and that the phenomenon could account for an additional 130 to 467 home runs per year by the end of the century, depending on how much the planet warms. A Washington Post analysis of MLB data supports the notion that balls fly farther in the summer months. Since 2006, the average number of home runs per game climbed from 2.10 in April and May to 2.20 in June, July and August. The average distance of “barreled” flyballs showed a similar trend, increasing from 387 feet in April and May to 390.6 feet in June, July and August. “Barreled” balls — well-struck balls that meet certain exit velocity and launch-angle criteria — were chosen because they are all hit similarly, helping to isolate the effects of external factors such as temperature. So far in 2023, the average distance of barreled flyballs increased from 385.5 feet in April and May to 387.3 feet in June and early July, while the average home runs per game climbed from 2.30 in April and May to 2.34 in June and early July.
  8. I’d also stick Daniella Bruce into a tv role instead of the radio. Three people on a radio broadcast, even though Daniella is only called on occasionally, is too busy.
  9. Gania also called Mize’s no hitter in Erie
  10. Maybe worse is that I had to watch the Jays broadcast. They did a stellar job of containing their excitement.
  11. At least I didn’t type have been heild hitler!
  12. 2 outs, 1 to go! Not as exciting as a solo no hitter but still would be cool.
  13. With Foley’s help, the Jays have been held hitler through 8.
  14. Manning pulled after 6 2/3 no-hit innings as he hits 90 pitches.
  15. And the top of rotation of Skubal-Lorenzen-Manning.
  16. Jim Price can barely be heard. That's a big deterioration even from a month ago. I don't think he could or should continue any longer.
  17. Greene has now reached base 3 times already today. Two singles and a walk.
  18. 5 hitless innings by Manning on only 65 pitches.
  19. And good for Helm for getting to celebrate two Cup championships 14 years apart with two different pretty women.
  20. And in the "Top" feed when DeBrincat is trending, it will be a story from a day ago. So then I have to switch over to the "Latest" feed and sift through fake accounts with wild rumours.
  21. Easier said than done when it’s been four whole days since Torkelson’s multi-homer game and he only got on base a total of three times over the past two games.
