  1. Throwing a stick isn't going to deter beast Rasmussen from the empty netter.
  2. Wake up!! I’m about to put on a pot of morning coffee.
  3. My prime WJR listening years were 1975-1985 and it was a great radio station back then. 95% non-syndicated local content. JP McCarthy for morning drive time and then a serious noontime Focus show, Warren Pearce and Jimmy Launce late mornings or afternoons, Paul Carey with about 10 minutes of sports at 11:15 including high school scores during the Tigers’ offseason, Jay Robert’s all night with Night Flight 76.
  4. His “Sportswrap” on WJR in the early 80s was the very first sports talk show I was able to listen to. I believe it was an hour a night 5 nights per week. Very rare back then.
  5. Coaching change in Edmonton. I wonder whether Kenny considered Babcock for the position at all before Jay Woodcroft to replace Dave Tippett.
  6. Nice way to start the post-break. 6-3 after Namestikov's ENG, Wings are going to win it.
  7. 5-3 Wings now, with a Givani Smith goal.
  8. https://torontosun.com/entertainment/movies/lily-james-needed-dozens-of-fake-breasts-for-pam-tommy-series Lily James wore out 50 pairs of fake breasts when filming ‘Pam & Tommy.’ James required a new pair of fake breasts ever day during shooting to play the buxom supermodel. The show’s head of make-up, Jason Collins, said: “They’re made out of gel-filled silicone appliances, which move like real skin and absorb light similarly. We used a new pair every day for filming which meant having 50 made.”
  9. Let’s play some hockey.
  10. Speaking of the Olympics, interesting tidbit about Chris Chelios’ who is competing in Olympics hockey. For the States? For Canada? Greece? Nope. From today’s Toronto Globe & Mail: One such player this year is the son of a four-time U.S. Olympian, Chris Chelios. “Obviously I’m not Chinese but for the last three years I’ve been playing for the Chinese team, I’ve got the chance to live here and I love it,” Jake Chelios, who competes as Jieke Kailiaosi, told the Olympic news service this week.
  11. Hang on, there was a All Star Game this weekend? I just thought there was a few days off due to the original Olympics schedule.
  12. https://www.freep.com/story/sports/columnists/mitch-albom/2022/02/04/mitch-albom-jim-harbaugh-michigan-football-nfl-minnesota-vikings/6645110001/ “There was a tugging at me that I was once that close to a Super Bowl and I didn’t get it. Some NFL jobs came open. I was contacted by the (Minnesota) Vikings. “For better or for worse, it was something I wanted to explore. I went in thinking, ‘I’m gonna have 100 percent conviction on this, and if they (Minnesota) have 100 percent conviction on this, then it’s something I’m gonna do.” But like many a job interview, somewhere in the process, he got a sinking feeling. It was all good. “A first-class operation,” he said. “First-class people.” But there wasn’t an equal match of enthusiasm. And for a man whose catch phrase is “an enthusiasm unknown to mankind” — well, that stuff matters.
  13. Good for Harbaugh. He did nothing wrong.
  14. Bertuzzi deflection! 2-2.
  15. Kings tie it. Split screen tonight - one eye on LCA, another eye on ... San Salvador!
  16. So the married boss turning 40 in the spring has been flirting at the office for weeks. Finally worked up nerve to take his young secretary away on overnight trip. Checked in to the hotel, went up to the room, she was in the bathroom getting herself more comfortable. But by time she came out in lingerie he had already bolted down to the lobby and out the door to the airport. Took the next flight home and asked his wife to overlook his silliness
  17. So say the Lions had kept Patricia one more season and fired him just now. Would you have been interested in Harbaugh for the Lions? Surely Harbaugh would have been, he may not even have had to have moved house.
  18. Can’t be too many times the past few years when the Wings held the opposition to only 15 shots on goal.
  19. Watching the highlights now as didn’t see the game. I know Ken and Mickey are a bit biased, but I’m surprised that Hronek’s “goal” late in regulation was disallowed for kicking.
  20. Made up for it with the OT winner.
  21. And Ryans of the Niners pulling out is very big, imo. Harbaugh has to be the front runner now.
  22. I watched the whole thing but wasn't able to post due to an error message. Wings were better than 7-4 would suggest. But quite a collapse the final 10 minutes for sure. Once it was tied, the go-ahead goal seemed like just a matter of time.
  23. Huge result! Raymond with the shootout goal.
  24. Wow, that OT was all Wings. Off to the shootout.
