  1. Zadina gets it right back!
  2. Giveaway by Walman quickly converted by the Rangers into a tying goal.
  3. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Perron. The whole sequence was great to see.
  4. Beauty goal to open the scoring for the Wings. Walman to Rasmussen to Copp. Nice hands, Rasmussen.
  5. I forgot about Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, got both, with Philly being very strong.
  6. Great question. Because my feelings towards the Leafs are so personal and bitter, lol, I’d be tempted to say miss the playoffs. But for any other opponent or scenario - including a walloping by Boston or a sweep by Carolina - I’d definitely prefer making the playoffs over missing.
  7. 2 spots, 6 teams (am not counting Ottawa or Philly at this point).
  8. Huge win. The playoff race is on.
  9. 2-1 after 2. Vrana had a chance on a late powerplay.
  10. Here's the sports radio dial that was accessible to me at night in the '80s. 670 - WMAQ - Chicago - White Sox 700 - WLW Cincinnati - Reds 760 - WJR Detroit 770 - WABC New York - Yankees 1000 - WCFL Chicago - Blackhawks games for a year or two. Also had a weekly late night sex show that pre-dated Dr. Ruth. 1120 - KMOX St. Louis - Cardinals (strong signal but Sarnia had a station at 1110 that often interfered) I used to also get LSU Tigers football on Saturday nights and Kentucky Wildcats basketball, but for both I forget from where on the dial.
  11. Not that the Tigers would care, we're not talking a lot of people, but I'm sure the TIgers-Jays and Leafs-Wings split in my hometown of Sarnia is much more skewed towards the Toronto teams these days than when I was growing up. My childhood house was 60 miles from Michigan & Trumbull. Border crossing was a piece of cake, asked for a driver's license at most and never a line more than 10 minutes. WJR came booming in day or night. A few dozen games on TV - WDIV or Channel 50 or Channel 20 - plus national games was enough to tide us over. Remaining a Detroit sports fan these days is simper than ever, even out here in Vancouver, thanks to radio apps and season pay telecast options. But becoming a Detroit sports fan in Vancouver? Requires an investment most won't make.
  12. Just because a reporter heard that Bertuzzi is off the market, even if Yzerman said Bertuzzi is off the market, doesn’t mean Bertuzzi is off the market.
  13. Disastrous end to 2nd period. Wings starting a 4 minute powerplay with just over a minute to go in period. Silly holding penalty negates half of it 5 seconds in. Then Kraken come down and score with 7 seconds left in period. 3-1 Seattle after 2. Streak in jeopardy.
  14. Wings were back on their heels after that goal and were at risk of going down by 2 before period's end but instead ...Suter ties it with 16 seconds to go.
  15. Husso would want that one back. Squirts through his pads. 1-0 Kraken late in the 1st.
  16. Perhaps too soon to be scoreboard watching, but i don’t care, was nice to hear that the Pens, Isles and Panthers already got thumped today.
  17. You're not losing your mind.
  18. Ken Kal’s call of Suter’s 5-2 insurance goal. Suter Scores on Flames.m4a
  19. Yes, I like!
  20. Wings are rampaging through Western Canada.
  21. How's this: My nephew was born in the middle of last week's game versus Edmonton. Since then the Wings have gone 4-0. Even putting last weeks Edmonton loss onto his ledger still gives him a lifetime winning percentage of .800. His dad - my brother - is a big Red Wings fan. They live in Calgary.
  22. Washington has already lost in regulation, BTW.
  23. Literally tastes blood.
  24. Wings may have found their legs. Much better in the 2nd period.
