  1. Tork had a chance to kill off the game. DP.
  2. Suddenly the Blue Jays have a 3 game lead in the AL East, as they eke out another extra inning win while the Rays and Yankees both lose. The Jays are 4 games behind the Tigers and have the White Sox and Athletics coming up this week.
  3. Here's the game by game schedule. https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/DET/2025-schedule-scores.shtml Here is the Tigers' record in 10-game blocks. Of course there can be 10-game windows overlapping those blocks that are more extreme, but nothing really pops out. Losing 5 of 7 between June 14th-June 21st seems to be the weakest stretch. Games 1-10: 6-4 Games 11-20: 6-4 Games 21-30: 6-4 Games 31-40: 8-2 Games 41-50: 7-3 Games 51-60: 6-4 Games 61-70: 6-4 Games 71-80: 5-5 Games 81-90: 5-4 with 1 game to play Here is the Tigers' record by month: March: 1-3 April: 18-9 May: 19-9 June: 15-11 July: 2-2 Division lead at month ends: March 31: 1 game behind April 30: 1.5 game lead May 31: 6.0 game lead June 30: 11.5 game lead Other highlights include: Largest divisional lead: 12.5 games (current) Longest winning streak: 5 (3 times) Longest losing streak: 3 (3 times) Also, while no chance at "wire to wire" for the season starting March 27, the Tigers have been at least tied for 1st in the Central since April 1 and have held the Central lead outright since April 5 (Game 8).
  4. And going back even farther, the Yankees have lost 15 of 21. They were 42-25 on June 12th, now they're 48-40.
  5. Tigers win! Wenceels’ s put out & home run the difference.
  6. Vest was one strike away but now the tying run is on 2nd after a double.
  7. Wish the Tigers had a more comfortable lead heading to the bottom of the 9th, but here we go. Bottom of the order coming up.
  8. I thought Kahnle was looking better tonight, but he leaves with runners on the corners and 2 outs, Tigers clinging to 2-1 lead.
  9. Wenceel does it all.
  10. I hope that applies even for people living in the colonies that stayed loyal.
  11. Christian Fischer, UFA, retires. https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/christian-fischer-retires-from-nhl-at-28-after-nine-seasons-1.2331496
  12. Man, we can't lose a series to the Nationals. Still more 7 innings though ...
  13. Achtung! Tigers trail 5-3
  14. Great at-bat by Torkelson.
  15. Astros lose to Colorado. The Tigers' American League lead is back up to 2.0 games.
  16. 6 x $8.5mm. Decent contract for Carolina. He wanted to go to a southern market.
  17. Since I've drifted away from watching the All Star Game but will want to watch this year, can someone tell me whether they'll be wearing their Tigers uniforms or American League uniforms?
  18. 6-4 Washington all of a sudden.
  19. I remember the ‘76 ASG and the ‘77 yearbook. IIRC there is a picture inside of the three all stars sitting around in the carpeted clubhouse.
  20. Will Flaherty hit 54 pitches in this 1st inning?
  21. Tigers need a starter at the deadline. 30 pitches and only 1 out. 2-0 with Nats still threatening.
