  1. I enjoyed that. I don't like him. Another arrogant Patriots assistant. He's not on the hot seat yet, but he's in the room where the seats are. New List. Matt Rhule gone 1 - Ron Rivera, Washington. - Starting 1-4 is bad enough, but no coach should ever say out loud that they didn't have their team prepared. Well, that's is basically your only job. 2 - Frank Reich, Indianapolis - It is truly incredible that they are .500. They caught KC napping. If they don't starting playing better in the next couple of weeks.... 3. Nathaniel Hackett, Denver - A combination of an OC that seems very Norv Turner/Marty Morningwheg-esque as a Head Coach and a QB who seems to be on a rapid decline. Seattle made the move of the century so far. 4. Kliff Kingsbury, Arizona - Still only a game out.........but he can't finish like he usually finishes. Has to make the playoffs. He really hadn't done anything to show he's an NFL head coach in the first place........and that makes me think.,.... Matt Rhule's axing - did he really deserve to get an NFL job? There seems to be this rush to grab college coaches who have one good year, but take away the first year at Baylor (can't blame him for that), his record was 18-9 and taking away his first year at Temple he was 26-13. He never should have been in the NFL in the first place and on top of that they had a pretty weak rotation of QBs. Cam was at the end, PJ couldn't play the Lions every week, Sam Darnold was broken and Baker Mayfield is basically a 3rd tier QB who's been beat up. Teams should be careful with the "next hot college coach" and actually make sure they hire someone with a more complete track record. Kliff Kingsbury took over a Texas Tech team that had gone 30-29 under Tommy Racistville and promptly went 35-40. How does that scream next hot coach? Despite what some of you believe, that performance Sunday should have Dan Campbell, like Josh McDaniel, hanging out in the waiting room for the room full of hot seats. Can't coach like that. This isn't a video game. Took his own team out of it. You signed a kicker.........try using him, could have made it a 6-3 game. Foolish. (had a good kicker the 2nd half of last year, should have kept him).
  2. Well lets acquire some more talent that he actually IS blocking someone for crying out loud.
  3. Sorry, it's Kevin Gilbride's son........
  4. Carolina has Ben McAdoo, Kevin Gilbride and Steve Wilks on their staff...........all with head coach experience. None of them were great, but we're talking interim.
  5. And suddenly Matt Rhule vaults to the top of the Hot Seat List. I think he might be out by tonight. Their bye week isn't until Week 13 Maybe some discussion of Mike Tomlin being near this list should begin............I mean, he decides Kenny Pickett's first start should be AT Buffalo? When their other QB played for the Bills last year and may know a few things about them? And yeah, Campbell is in the hallway now. I don't care how long his contract is...........that was a dreadful job today on all facets. You did sign a kicker, right? He hit 4 field goals a week ago, right?
  6. Okay, let me dream of this..................They'll have to do 2 things #1- move that RCF fence in (to not be such a joke and to actually bring in players), or at least start the process for it............. #2 - overpay. it's just a reality that the team will face. But they don't have to go after Trea Turner or Aaron Judge here, they can go down to the next tier. This team needs 3 hitters. You can't go into another season with old man Miggy and Harold as your best hitters. Do I think they can do this? No - I still think Chris is going to be cheap, but I do wonder - if he lured a guy away from his hometown team to come here, wouldn't he have had to promise he's loosen the purse strings a bit? Dreaming of this roster............Go ahead an flog me, if you will 1b/DH - Brandon Belt (we're talking one year here) 1b/DH - Spencer Torkelson (please get him right, please) 2b - Jon Berti (bring the guy home, you can fleece Miami, at least he can steal bases) ss - Javier Baez 3b - Jeimer Candelario RF - Riley Greene CF - Brandon Nimmo (OBP OBP OBP) LF - Andrew Benintendi (OBP OBP, not worried about HRs) C - Tucker Barnhart (the pitching staff was the only bright spot, he had to have something to do with it. Bench - Harold Castro - I like him. He is a great ultility guy Eric Haase - Second half saved his season and maybe career. He can be 1b/Dh/C/Lf role Jake Rogers - If he can hit at all. Victor Reyes, Akil Baddoo or Austin Meadows (if he ever plays again). Reyes has the advantage because he can play all 3 OF positioins. I really don't want to see Willi, Schoop or Clemens again. Miggy? Just pay him to walk away His 40th birthday is April 18th. Retire his jersey that day, you don't have to wait for the Hall of Fame. Throw him a party and then move on. The pitching? That's a whole 'nother day. They still need 2 starters don't they ? Manning, Skubal, Breiske, Mize........we won't see any of them until mid '23 at the earliest, will we? Hitting Coaches GONE Scouting Director GONE Training Staff NEXT
  7. I feel sorry for the people like Dan Miller and Co. who have to do the legit postgame for this. For the regular hosts in the studio it's great..........they don't have to work at all the next few days, just hit the phone lines and go !
  8. I am still celebrating.....so much drinking it's all a blur.
  9. And what about the curse of the 2nd round pick 2022 - Josh Paschal - hasn't played yet 2021 - Levi Onwuzurike - hasn't played this season 2020 - D'Andre Swift - good, but always hurt with probably a short career 2019 - Jhalani Tavai - Yep 2018 - Kerryon Johnson - D'Andre Swift Sr. 2017 - Teez Tabor - no.......words.......they should've sent a poet 2016 - A'Shawn Robinson - Won a Super Bowl - with the Rams after he was declared not good enough here 2015 - Ameer Abdulla - never developed into much 2014 - Kyle Van Noy - Didn't know how to use him, let him go, then he got good 2013 - Darius Slay - Holy fucking shit, they hit one and then drove him away by humiliating him 2012 - Ryan Broyles - Injured in college, took him anyway, 32 career catches 2011 - Titus Young & Mikel Leshoure - One went crazy the other one loved weed more than football 2010 - Didn't have a pick, thank God. 2009 - Louis Delmas - Hey, a broken clock is right twice a day! 2008 - Jordon Dizon - Couldn't even spell Jordan right 2007 - Drew Stanton, Ikaika Alama-Francis & Gerald Alexander - O FOR THREE !!!!! 2006 - Daniel Bullocks - As the Brits would say BOLLOCKS ! 2005 - Shaun Cody - Well at least he showed up 2004 - Teddy Lehman - Had the nerve to wear Spielman's number 2003 - Boss Bailey - Hugo Boss would have been better 2002 - Kalimba Edwards - He actually played which puts him near the top of the list here 2001 - Dominic Raiola & Shaun Rogers - Both were placeholders 2000 - Barrett Green - Sounds like the name of a Motown songwriter. At least he played 1999 - Had no Grade Point Average. All Classes Incomplete 1998 - Germain Crowell & Charlie Batch - Crowell didn't know to run out of bounds with the clock running out and Batch, well, he was actually a steal in the 2nd round. 1997 - Juan Roque & Kevin Abrams. Got to hang with Juan, great guy but played only 17 career games. Kevin Abrams almost doubled that 1996 & 1995 - No 2nd round pick 1994 - Van Malone. ♫ Do the hustle ♫......oh, sorry that was Van McCoy, who was just as good. 1993 - Ryan McNeil - Had a decent career. must have been accidental 1992 - Tracy Scroggins & Jason Hanson. - A kicker in the 2nd round? And he is the best player on this list ! That covers how many regimes? It's freaking incredible.
  10. Well, there is good news today. Tigers fired their Scouting Director (YES YES YES) and we didn't lose any Red Wings to a season-long injury.............yet.
  11. The worst part of this is that the Patriots are not a good football team and they started a 3rd string rookie today. I can't see this team winning more than 3 games now.
  12. Jim Caldwell had a winning record here. Where is the statue going ?
  13. Girlfriend came over. Had lunch. Finally watched the last episode of Stranger Things. I need to give her a gift for sparing me this horror show of a football team today.
  14. It's over. Going for a Top 3 draft pick now. Coach is probably finished. They made Matt Patricia look good Fuck this team Go Bills! Any city desperate for a football team............take this one. Not having a team would be better than another 30 years of this.
  15. Good horror show on TV.............Oh, and "Carrie" is on too !
  16. Please Football Gods, We believe in curses. You punished us enough and you can keep on punishing us.......but please, just for today, please, I beg of you, don't let Matt Patricia have a good day. PLEASE?
  17. Indiana is always a pain in the ass game down there.
  18. I now worry that people in Georgia might feel Herschel Walker is being picked on and want to support him. The fact that he is incredibly stupid wasn't enough to bring him down just makes me want to give up.
  19. As far as Texas A&M goes....... YGWYD
  20. That what I would have thought but McCarthy is helping himself by winning without Dak. Depends on the playoffs, really.
  21. Coach Hot Seat Rankings Week 4 1/2 edition (after the Thursday Night game) 1. NATHANIEL HACKETT, Broncos. Yep, it's his first year, but this, this must all end. He's brutal and I don't know if Russ is bad or if Hackett doesn't know how to use him, but Nate didn't cost a quarter of a billion and 5 draft picks, so guess who could be gone very very soon? 2. MATT RHULE, Panthers - The writing is on the wall. It's not getting better. It's not working. His resume was limited to begin with, he will be coaching at a Power 5 school next year (it could be Power 4 by then) 3. FRANK REICH, Colts. Another slow start puts what looks like a talented team in a hole. If he had lost vs. Denver last night, he might have been out today. He owes Nate Hackett a beer. 4. RON RIVERA, Commanders - Riverboat Ron is taking on water and the team just isn't getting better. Likable guy, but this just isn't working. That whole organization is a mess. 5. KLIFF KINGSBURY, Cardinals - All the teams in the NFC West are 2-2 - so they are tied for first, but he needs to do something he's never done before - finish strong - to come back next year. (I don't understand why they hired him in the first place). Sean-O-Meter. Where does Sean Payton end up? 1. Denver 2. Arizona 3. Anywhere but Washington (ownership is a toxic waste dump)
  22. I told him...............DON'T TOUCH THE CALENDAR............DON'T DO ANYTHING WITH THE SCHEDULING CALENDAR..........LEAVE THE CALENDAR TO ME............I HANDLE THE CALENDAR.............So what do you think he does this morning? All day today -- me fixing the calendar.......................
