  1. Just a couple of days after the deadline. We traded away David Price and Mike was pissed.
  2. - None of these are given away in that cryptic finale teaser I saw one theory that talked ab out the title of the next episode being Waterworks. Could be multiple meanings Waterworks - Kim works for a sprinkler company Waterworks - Gene cries his way out of getting caught at Cancer Guy's house Waterworks............Water Works is only 2 spots ahead of Go To Jail. Interesting theory. Marvin Gardens lays between. What if cancer guy's name is Marvin? We already know that the cops show up at Cancer Guy's house. We saw that in the Waterworks teaser. One of two things are going to happen..........Gene goes in the house to find CG either dead or dying and he is able to get out of the house just before the cops show up or he doesn't have time to get out so he starts doing CPR on the guy to make it look good for the cops (I was worried, I followed him home, he didn't answer, I broke in) If CG dies it's very doubtful that there would be an autopsy. He's drinking heavily, taking cancer meds and weak from the cancer - and unlike TV Cop shows a true tox screen would take several weeks to reveal an overdose. So even if they did do an autopsy it would give Gene time to hightail it out of there.
  3. Funny...........when Detroit was still a shithole we had at least 2 good pro teams at all times, sometimes 3. But since *The Comeback all of our teams have sucked Would you rather have Shit City with good sports Or *Gleaming New City with horrible teams * - except for the neighborhoods
  4. If baseball wants to stabilize they need a salary cap and a salary floor and that is never ever ever going to happen. It's getting like the NBA, where you have glamour teams and feeder teams and the Tigers are a feeder team. Soon as our guys get good, we'll trade them or they'll bolt in free agency. At least with Chris Illitch at the helm. This is why Milwaukee made the bold move of trading Josh Hader. They know they can't pay him after next year and they also know that he'd never have more value than right now, so they had to trade him and as much as it hurts the fans in Milwaukee, they played it the Tampa Bay Way. I don't know, I don't think baseball is headed in the right direction for expansion. I think they are closer to retraction with the woeful situations in Oakland, Tampa and Miami. KC, Cleveland and Pittsburgh aren't much better. If Oakland, Tampa and Miami end up moving to say - Las Vegas, Nashville and Montreal, where would expansion work? I don't think it would work in North Carolina. To me that would feel like another Tampa/Miami situation. They've never been into baseball there. Indianapolis - I think it would be a great market for baseball, but would never get the okay because the Reds, Cardinals, White Sox and Cubs would block it. The best place for an expansion team is Northern New Jersey but the Yankees, Mets and Phillies would never allow it. And Portland? Portland is a political nightmare. My sister, who is as liberal as me, couldn't take it anymore and moved back here. It's liberal to it's stupidest extreme. Anyone here from Portland? You know. Plus they never really supported minor league baseball either. People actually move to Portland to live the homeless lifestyle. Yes, that's a thing and they pick Portland because the city lets them go wherever they want pretty much. How would you like to wake up and see people camped on your easement? Hint: that ain't dog doo doo on the grass. As far as the Tigers. After all these years of rebuilding we don't have enough prospects to even pretend to matter on a trade deadline day. Our best hitters, and I think I'm legit in saying this are a 39 year old has-been who is 30% of your total payroll and hits only singles now, and Victor Reyes and Harold Castro. Can't draft. Can't develop. Can't trade. No indication that anything will change because the family apparently still makes money off of it. As long as they can profit, why would they change anything? Hope they have a full house Saturday for Lou. He deserves it. He absolutely should be in the Hall of Fame and the fact that he was aloof shouldn't keep him out, but other than that and Opening Day, when will you ever see a full house at Comerica? I'm not even sure 2023 Opening Day will sell out. Especially if Al is still the GM. Fans are rightly pissed. Another year of 4 pro teams with no playoffs for Suck City.
  5. The post-show teaser for the next episode leaked and like an idiot I watched it. This would be the teaser for the finale............I won't say anything, but it doesn't involve cheerleaders, puppies or marching bands
  6. So Trumper Ryan Kelly, who finished FOURTH is refusing to accept the results. Because of course.
  7. We know that Walt and Jessie each have one more scene and they are separate scenes, but I think they are going let Jesse have the happy ending. He turned out to be a sympathetic character who actually had a soul, so he'll be the only one that doesn't get totally ruined.............He's been through his Hell. If there is a spinoff, it would either be Kim in the post Gene timeline or maybe a younger Lalo (but not with Tony Dalton), but based on what I heard from a former co-worker from my ABQ radio days (he's a native), they're shutting down the studio there for good.
  8. When they pulled the first scam of ripping off the store it was October 2010 (if you look up the Nebraska football schedule). So roughly 6-8 months.
  9. Green Sky is bad m'kay?
  10. A little too ironic.............yeah, I really do think
  11. Then they came for the child porn viewers
  12. You know, like Bill Belichick "accidentally" texting the wrong Brian......................Interesting how that has resulted in a division foe losing two draft picks and the team owner being suspended. That was no accident. (like in the Godfather II "That was no heart attack")
  13. But then Jones' lawyers will use that as a reason to appeal, that might not have been an accident. It's a very very slimy thing to do, but consider who they represent.
  14. Burying your ex wife on your golf course as a tax dodge To quote Tommy's brother in 'Rescue Me', "Do you even HAVE a rock bottom?" There is no low that's low enough, is there?
  15. If a Republican did this the right would be in awe of them.
  16. Brilliance of Vin Scully.................when he did TV he knew when to shut up (Didn't speak for over a minute when Gibby hit the big HR in Game 5) and that's a really important part of the job. He and Ernie were the best. R.I.P. Mr. Scully
  17. Pretty sure we'll get to face Fulmer today at some point.
  18. When Diego died I missed the day of and the next day. I was given Bereavement Pay for those two days. For a dog. They get it.
  19. And you thought Alanis was ironic..............
  20. Hell, I'd give Yzerman a shot at the Tigers instead of another year with Al. He would probably hire the right people.
  21. I'm sure Rand Paul will also ask for federal assistance for flood-ravaged Kentucky, when he votes against it for other states. Prick.
  22. With each passing day I love Rand Paul's ex neighbor more and more. I'd give him a hug if I could.
  23. not the least little bit.
  24. I'll admit to watching a lot of dog videos (as well as court and crime videos).
  25. The draft is over. The trade deadline is over End it tomorrow. Why do we need to wait until October. Lets get a head start now.
