  1. I really don't want to hate my own team. The team that got me into sports, but I can't love this. It's like an intervention. I love you, but I am not supporting your behavior anymore.
  2. Oh, and in the Millen case, he went against his staff's suggestions all the time and Martin Mayhew made sure the higher ups knew that he wasn't on board a lot of Millen's moves. But I don't care, Mayhew should have been broomed out with him. I don't want anyone that has anything to do with Al Avila on this team anymore. From front office all the way down to Rookie Ball. I don't care if there is a record of them saying Al was wrong on something, we must rid ourselves and our city and our beloved team of the stench. Congratulations on finding J.D. Martinez, it was a brilliant move, but that's all you've really got. What is being done to the Detroit Tigers, in my eyes, is like someone drawing a sharpie mustache on the Mona Lisa. I know that's a bit overdramatic, but that's what the Tigers mean to me and Chris is shitting all over it, still making a profit. He'll probably angle for a new stadium within 10 years too.
  3. I don't want to hear the injury excuse, it's the offense that has been offensive. The pitching has hung in there with the injuries, but you get seven years to build and this is what you get. Bad scouting. Bad drafting. Bad developing. Bad Trades. Bad Free Agents. They do almost everything wrong. It is very MIllenesque. Don't worry about Al. He can retire a millionaire, or Dave Dombrowski can hire him as an assistant in Philly. I don't care. Just go.
  4. Do you think it could be a situation where Baddoo started out last year not knowing anything and just playing baseball, you know, going outside, playing the game, having fun and since then they've filled his head with a bunch of launch angle/exit velo/sabregarbage that has him up there thinking, not just using his natural ability? That's what I think. I think they got in his head and messed him up. I think they have done that to almost the whole team. So we just have a bunch of guys all having the worst season at the same time? I don't think so. I used to worry about AJ leaving, and now it's Good Riddance ! Who out there is better? I don't know, but I do know that this ain't working and it's completely systemic. EVERYONE.............MUST.................GO......................................EVERYONE !
  5. That's exactly how I feel, Frank Zappa, there is more to it than just luck. There has to be. And the Coolbaugh thing...........When Greene came up he was just playing baseball like he has his whole life. The Tigers got in his head and they've got him thinking about things instead of just playing. They are overloading these guys with information. Either you can do it, or you can't and when you can't, then you try to figure out how you can. They're digging into these guys skulls way too much. I think they did it with Candelario and Schoop and Tork. Heck, Victor Reyes came back and was hitting, then Coolbeans got to him and got in his head and he can't hit now. Don't let him near Kerry Carpenter.
  6. Why do you assume that. Chris is fine. He's making a profit. Why mess with it. If you think it's about winning or losing with that guy, you're not paying attention. He does not care a bit. As long as he can make money. Tiger Fans: Stop going to the games. Make that stadium look like Oakland. They're not going to move the team away.
  7. From 3 years ago Diego the goalie. https://www.facebook.com/markcopeland107/videos/10157018475011063/
  8. We have a guy named Chi Chi now.
  9. Yes, we'll have a game today - it's on again/off again rain and this late in the season it gets much harder to reschedule games. Might have a delay or two, but they'll play today. Who is our starting 5 right now?
  10. Hillary should have never walked back her Basket of Deplorables comment. She should have run on it.
  11. Amazing catch by Akil................but it was a little too late.
  12. Javy, you don't have to break the ball........just put it in play Thank YOu.
  13. Today I went to Human Society of Huron Valley and looked at the dogs. I wanted to take everyone of them home. I connected with a dog, some kind of shepherd, smaller than a German Shepherd but while I was there someone claimed her. There were a couple other dogs, but I had to go, it was just too emotional. I'm still kind of a wreck, as much as I want a dog here. I still can't forgive myself, even though I know there really wasn't a choice.
  14. Yep, First Fairuza Balk played Danielle in one episode, I think it was one, and then it was Lola Glaudini. I think that was probably easier to go back and re-shoot with Lola because it might have been only one or two quick scenes. Fairuza is from California and looks MIddle Eastern and also kind of carries a darker, punk-rock vibe. Lola, on the other hand is an Italian girl from NYC who looks like the kind of rich Jersey girl that Adriana would hang out with. Maybe that's why they made the change, but I think it was because Lola lived in NYC most of the time and Fairuza would have to fly in from California and it just lined up better. If I'm not mistaken, Lola was the original choice but she was committed to Criminal Minds, but wound up quitting that show and became available. It's like Back To the Future, all but the prom scenes were shot with Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly, but he was playing it too dramatically. Michael J. Fox was the first choice but they were filming the same time as Family Ties and he was committed. The producers and directing staff were watching the dailies and things just weren't funny enough. They wound up with Fox after they made a deal with Family Ties. Every indoor scene in the movie was shot in the middle of the night so Fox could do both. The film was almost done and Tom Wilson (Biff) got a call to come in immediately to talk to the producer and directors. He wasn't told why, and he pleaded with them to just tell him he was fired over the phone but they said that's not it. He drove over to the offices of the casting director thinking he was about to be told he was fired (he was not clicking at all with Stoltz and everyone knew it.......Stoltz went method on a lot of the physical scenes and Wilson was going to really lay into him on the last day). He gets there and all the young actors, Crispin Glover, Lea Thompson. Billy Zane, are all there and the director walked in with Michael J. Fox and told them all..........."I hope you guys like working midnights". There are a couple of shots in the movie - at Doc's 1955 house, where you see Doc from Marty's point of view, over Marty's shoulder and it's Eric Stoltz' shoulder.
  15. So there is a Jeff The Cab Driver issue. The actor that shot the scenes we saw in Season 4 was not able to shoot any scenes for Season 6 because I guess he's in a new series. So the BCS folks cast a different actor to play Jeff (and we'll see those scenes again soon). So, as far as syndication (Netflix and the like) does that mean they put the new Jeff in the old episodes too for continuity? I mean, when you watch it over a 3 year span it's not a big deal, but binge it and see those episodes in the same week and it's gonna be weird. An episode of Seinfeld where George parks his father's car in handicapped space and it gets torn up by an angry mob, in the original airing it was a different actor playing Frank Costanza. He had health issues and couldn't reappear so they re-cast Jerry Stiller. For syndication they actually went back and re-shot scenes. A different actor play Jerry's father in the first few episodes before they re-cast Barney Martin, but they did not re-shoot those scenes.
  16. And then warned Hank about it so Hank would do the killing and save him the war. A lot of people online seem to think that Kim somehow sent Jeff the Cab Driver to find Saul. I think we'll find out Kim has joined NXIVM and somehow Gene finds out and saves her.
  17. working dogs. mine just tried to herd squirrels, yours does dishes? Good Dog !
  18. And look at that smile. Good Girl !
  19. By the way, is everything alright with Dan Dickerson?
  20. Oh, not ripping him. He just sounds a little forced, but I am sure Dan did at the beginning too. Yes, he would be a far cry from the snoozefest on TV.
  21. I am not going to rip on the guy because he's trying his best. He sounds a little forced, but when you hear someone else do Tigers Play-By-Play it makes you realize just how freaking good Dan Dickerson really is. Doug Fister on color commentary.............they've had better.
