We'll probably see Meadows back on Tuesday in Pittsburgh. We'll see Riley make his debut Friday against Toronto (in 2025 if it's up to Henning) Eduardo will probably have a rehab start in Toledo this week Pineda not far behind him. Victor Reyes and Robbie Grossman will likely start rehab assignments in Toledo soon. Although, to be honest, you can just release Robbie Grossman at this point. He's got one of the highest strikeout rates in baseball, his power is gone and I would rather see more of Cameron/Hill/Reyes at this point.

Lynn Henning will say he needs 7 weeks now.

I am absolutely not absolving Al. Who else is going to play there? They have Hill, Cameron and the Castros. That's it until Meadows, Robbie, Reyes, or Greene come up. It's a poorly constructed OF. I'm not even giving AJ a hard time. What else is he supposed to do?

Have him throw with his other arm, he can't be worse.

But that division.............that's a tough one. 3 of the four teams are legit Super Bowl contenders and the Raiders could be really good too.

Remember that list shortstops on the free agent list Javy is under .200 Carlos Correa - Hurt (again) and only 3 HR Corey Seager is only hitting .241 Marcus Semien - almost identical numbers to Javy (as a 2b) Trevor Story only hitting .230 (as a 2b) Andrelton Simmons hitting .186 - only 15 games so far Jose Iglesias actually hitting .316 (no home runs), but is the worst defensive SS in baseball. All of them are kind of busts right now. I know Seagar has 11 HR and Story has 9, but for the money they got paid, that's not a success.

This is on Al. 7 years of running this team (and 12 years as part of the front office before that) and the 2 major-league OF he has produced are Riley Greene (has proven nothing yet) and Derek Hill (his potential is basically Quintin Berry). That's a lot of drafts to produce nothing. I admire Willi for playing his ass off and saying "yes" to whatever they need. Guy's got some grit. I know he has no room to refuse, but he's doing the best he can. Yep, freakish year with injuries. It does feel like they are cursed, but no depth from our own system. It's so frustrating.

Riley Greene is going to come out swinging and be on fire his first month and then Al will trade him for 2 middle-of-the-road prospects because eventually if Greene keeps hitting he'll want to get paid and we can't have that.

You gotta cut him some slack, he's only played 36 games in his pro career in LF, I think he's doing a great job, considering that. We need more Castros. The Yankees have a Castro -- GET HIM !
