That's not a great list of ballplayers there. When you compare Spencer to the other players that were picked and remember the fact that he did actually hit 31 home runs one season, it's hard to rip the Tigers for taking him. They just need to figure out where it went wrong and hopefully fix it. Way too early to give up. The moves they made were to send a signal to Tork, sure, but I am not convinced they are totally giving up on him. He could hit 30 HR again, because he already has done it. I think it's more in his head than anything and sometimes that becomes unfixable.

I don't think it helped that A - Mize wound up having TJ surgery as his career was just getting started and B - Tork lost his first developmental year to COVID. Look at the 2020 first round. Not too many success stories there. Not seeing live pitching that first year might have a lot to do with that. Perhaps a little more patience than normal may be needed with both.

Does anyone believe that Tork's struggles were a lack of effort? To me it was mental. Too many teachers. The fact that he stepped away a little bit this offseason may be the best thing for him. We'll see, but I have never read or heard anything about the guy lacking effort or having a bad attitude. Don't let Tork get hot.

Everyone has a clunker now and then. Bet they look a lot different Saturday. Anyway, Trade deadline is a week away and every year we hope for a splash but it never happens. I doubt this year will be different, but this goaltending - I just don't think it's good enough to get you to the next level.

They are saying no evidence of a gas leak and two of the other dogs were found alive, one of them was inside the house. The door was open. The plot thickens.

They tried to get them to come play the song live at a game, but it didn't work out. Part of the issue is they couldn't sell beer up until last year and they weren't going to have a concert without beer or alcohol sales. That was the biggest hurdle. This show in September is a trial. If it goes well, expect a couple shows a year in the future.

Carbon Monoxide? It does get cold in New Mexico at night. Surprisingly cold. Those clear skies don't hold the heat of the day. The Unforgiven. The movie with no real "good guys". Well, maybe the Barber. Hackman's character was kind of a good guy, but not really. He won an Oscar for this movie. Well-deserved. I don't generally care for Westerns, but that movie was brilliant. Talk about dark. When he made Hoosiers he thought the movie was horrible and he berated the young director daily, all day long. Director said it was a nightmare. He thought shooting that movie was one of the biggest mistakes of his career. Then at the screening he walked up to the director and told him he made a great movie out of it. He was stunned at how it turned out. Grumpy guy. Not getting the part of Mike Brady on the Brady Bunch saved his career (and ruined Robert Reed's).

They just blasted one of the best teams in the NBA. - or - The Celtics just lost to one the best teams in the NBA. So much for this "they have a weaker schedule" bullspit.

Welp, the Ben Malgeri era begins ! This "don't have a timetable" stuff. To me that means it's probably bad.

I think Prince might have actually been limited by his role on the team. I think he was capable of doing more, but he did the little, non-selfish things that the team needed - he did them brilliantly. I see him in a role similar to Tomas Holmstrom with the Wings. One of those guys who is never treated like a star, but you don't win without them.

I saw a post on facebook from "Tigers True Fans" about the injury being more serious than expected. I am not clicking on it as many of these posts are click bait, but I hope it's not true. He was the straw that stirred the offense down the stretch last year. He wasn't their best player, but he was their offensive MVP last year. He made the difference.
