  1. About as bad of quarter as you can play.
  2. Ravens OC runs on 2nd and 20, fire him!
  3. Lions defense has been horrible but that TD I credit to Jackson, can't expect DBs to cover guys for that long.
  4. Gonna go out on a limb and say if the Lions continue to play this way then they are going to lose this game.
  5. Not an ideal start for the defense. I blame Ben Johnson.
  6. JJ is now the betting favorite for Heisman on multiple gambling sites. I think it's because a combination of USC losing again, Penix having a bad outing against a 1 win team and how JJ performed last night. By that I mean not necessarily cause he dominated a horrible MSU team but just cause of the volume he had. He's basically been around 15-20 attempts but in this game he threw 27 in just over a half of football. I think the experts are thinking Michigan is going to open things up more passing down the stretch particularly with tougher opponents. Plus he has a couple showcase games so if he performs well in those then that will go a long way in voters eyes.
  7. Michigan with their 4th TD on defense, they've given up 5TDs all season. Insane no matter who your competition is!
  8. Great opening drive by MIchigan capped by a 1 yard Corum run.
  9. Houston gave Texas a battle but it appears they are going to come up short. Down 7 and 4th and a couple inches deep in Texas territory and Houston coach elects to go shotgun and throw the ball....incomplete of course. Will never understand why teams do that on 4th and inches, I can't remember the last time a QB sneak was stopped at that range in college or the NFL yet some teams still wont try it.
  10. Tennessee down 14 points with 6 minutes left and they punt it away on 4th and 7, granted it ended up being a perfect punt downed at the 1 but I swear some coaches nowadays have no balls. Yes the 4th down was unlikely but far more likely to pick that up and finish that drive for a TD then to expect to stop Alabama quickly on multiple drives and then score quickly yourself.
  11. Not that the "playoff predictor" tool on ESPN is gospel but according to that as of earlier this week Michigan has a 90% chance of making the playoffs if they finish with 1 loss but win the Big 10 championship but if they finish with 1 loss and don't make the game then that number plummets to under 40%.(I personally would put it at zero barring a TON of upsets) Needless to say assuming Michigan does lose one of those games that tie breaker is going to be HUGE.
  12. What sucks about Cade and the current Pistons situation is that I believe Del and others have brought up the importance of playoff experience or atleast seeing how guys play in the playoffs since it's such a different animal, with the state of the Pistons there's a very real chance that isn't going to happen in the next couple years so even IF Cade ends up being close to what we expect in the regular season we are still going to likely have to give him that extension without even knowing how he would fair in the playoffs.
  13. Jerry Jacobs now listed as questionable with a knee injury. We may be getting to the point where Aaron Glenn is going to have to take off the headset and suit up for the secondary.
  14. Aka the Dollar Store Drew Sharp/Rob Parker wannabee.
  15. Pulling for the Rangers and Dbacks, Id be OK with the Astros just cause of JV but Id rather see some new blood. Phillies are the worst case scenario for me, I hate Philly fans, I hate the fact that they werent even the best team in their division all season(I know you can say that about the Dbacks as well) and even though they may not deserve it I personally find many of their players unlikable. Oh yeah and I also hate how they built their team by basically signing a bunch of high priced Free Agents
  16. Not watching the game but judging by the box score Ausar is having a solid game tonight. Halfway through the 4th and he has 18pts on only 8FGA along with 8 boards, 3stls, a block and given his reputation I'd imagine some solid all around defense as well.
  17. I might be misunderstanding the rule, but are they saying you're not allowed to scout a future opponent in person? If that is the case that has to be the dumbest rule I have ever heard of.
  18. I think there is a good chance they lose this one just cause Baltimore is a really good team and its hard to beat those teams at their place consistently, you are likely going to lose atleast a couple games like that throughout the season no matter how good you are and I have a feeling this may be one of those ones for the Lions.
  19. I remember really wanting Riley Pint that draft, the HS fireballer who was already touching triple digits pre draft. Fortunately for us the Rockies took him before we had a chance to cause I wouldn't have been surprised if he would've been our pick if he was there for us. I believe he's been out of baseball for a few years now so Manning has definetly ended up better no matter what he does from here.
  20. From a strategic standpoint who should we be rooting for between OSU and PSU this weekend?
  21. Reportedly Caleb Williams is going to demand ownership stake in any team that drafts him. Dont see any team going for that cause that may start a precedent but we shall see. Aside from that I wonder how that would effect the salary cap situation? Like what if they sign him to say a few million a year and compensate the rest in ownership stake? Would that team in turn only have the few million go against them on the cap?
  22. I share that same sentiment with Manning. I see him more as a Rick Porcello when he was here type at best than a mid to Frontline starter. That's not necessarily a bad thing either cause you could do a lot worse than that for your number 5 guy but I think anybody expecting much more than that is going to end up being disappointed.
  23. Yeah expecting atleast 20 to 25% Lions fans at that game for the reasons you mentioned.
  24. For the Lambeau game my understanding was that Milwaukee fans get a couple games a year where they get first crack at tix and the Lions game was one of them. Packers fans then theorized that since it was a Thursday night game where fans probably had to work early the next morning many of those Milwaukee fans decided that they didn't want to travel to the game so they ended up scalping their seats. Not sure how true that is but it makes some sense.
