  1. Hopefully we'll be playing in this same stadium about a month from now.
  2. Is that the 2nd week in a row with a flea flicker or was that the Lions that did it? I recall one of our local teams doing it recently.
  3. I know it's frustrating to see them go conservative like that but with a 3 score lead against a team that has yet to put it in the end zone on you there is no reason to get too greedy. Make them work for it.
  4. lol yep, I was going to say Iowa just had the turnover on downs on purpose so they could pin Michigan deep again.
  5. Very impressive drive indeed definitely reminded me of a couple of the ones from last week.
  6. There's a strike from Cade, first real good throw of the game for him.
  7. Whoa the rare holding call on the defense on a run play, last time I seen that called it was on the Lions(of course) a few years ago.
  8. I don't if its the smartest thing to be standing on the sidelines when you're pregnant like the reporter is. We've seen all too often reporters almost getting ran over.
  9. They need to ban the chest pass in the Dr. Pepper challenge!
  10. Damn, I was just about to say Michigan may have gotten away with a targeting penalty but at the very last second the refs get buzzed.
  11. Dumb decision there by Henning. Sure there was a couple Hawkeyes down there so perhaps they may have downed it on the 1 or 2 but much more likely it bounces in the end zone.
  12. Michigan showing the bend but don't break defense thus far, Iowa has had 2 long drives but only 3 points to show for it thus far.
  13. Holy crap what a play call and what a throw by Edwards, is there anything he can't do on the field?
  14. TD MICHIGAN!!! Great run by Corrum but I love McCarthy being down there blocking the whole way!
  15. The last SEC East team to beat Alabama was South Carolina way back in 2010. Total dominance.
  16. Damn earlier in the week I was looking forward to the thought of not having Alabama in the CFP(not just for Michigan's sake but I just hate them always being there in general) but now not only are they going to be there but it appears they will be the 1 seed and team to beat...yet again.
  17. After seeing Oregon get embarrassed I'm starting to wonder if perhaps OSU isn't as good as we all though. They dominated MSU and Purdue back to back but aside from that they played a bunch of close games and that loss to Oregon suddenly doesn't look so good.
  18. I think Iowa is better than people are giving them credit for, I see Michigan controlling things most of the game yards wise and perception wise only to look at the score and see its like 17-10 or something like that early in the 4th. Like one of those games where you "feel" they are up by 2 or 3 TDs when in reality it's still a close game. With that said I think they are the better team and will tack on a score late, 24-13 Michigan.
  19. A buddy of mine threw out a wild thought, what if the Lions draft both Aidan and Ojabo? Personally I think Ojabo will be gone by our 2nd pick but who knows, if the Rams keep losing he could potentially be there in the late teens. If he is I wouldn't totally be against it. With the picks we made last year on the interior they could potentially give us a great young d line. We could then take the best WR available with our 2nd round and 3rd round picks. I'd have to see how the board shakes up but if they aren't in love with any of the QBs and they think they could get a similar WR a dozen or so picks later then I think I like the idea.
  20. I still think Miggy has potential to be better than him too. He was really turning it on towards the end of the season, of course if memory serves me correctly he did the same in 2020 as well only to struggle in the 1st half of last year so we shall see.
  21. I think it would depend on how the game went. If you go by all the metrics Michigan is WAY ahead of Iowa at the moment. Currently UM is 4th in College Football's equivalent to the BPI at number 4 while Iowa is at 23. Michigan is 2nd in Strength of Record while Iowa is 10th. Michigan is 2nd in Average WPA ranked which they use to determine how much you controlled the game throughout, Iowa is 41st. Basically every one you look at you get results like this. I bring this up cause according to a couple of people they interviewed on the committee they said that the metrics are very important to them. That's the reason UM was still ahead of MSU after they lost, the committee said that by all accounts Michigan was the better team and had the better season according to the metrics despite the loss. Not saying I wouldn't personally put Iowa before Michigan but just reading between the lines of some of the committee's comments and I don't think they would consider them over Michigan even with a win. Now if they steamrolled them that may be another story.
  22. I of course don't want them to back in but if Cincy, OSU and Bama all lose earlier UM might be in the playoffs even with a close loss.
  23. I think I'm one of the few people in Michigan that don't call them Coneys, I've always just called them chili dogs.
  24. I want to hate on Van Gundy for passing on Booker but lets face it just about everybody at the time was more upset about passing on Winslow. If Booker was the obvious pick and he fell in our laps only for us to take Stanley instead I would hate on him more. Still sucks though either way.
