  1. Goff has looked better since coming back from his injury which kinda makes me think he may have been injured most of the season and just didn't tell anybody which could explain the lousy play and extreme reluctance to throw anything over 10-15yds. He may not be the long term answer but if he continues to play like he has the last few weeks I think he could be good enough to start the next year or possibly 2.
  2. I wonder how many other Lions got this message after yesterday's performance?
  3. This was the first time the Lions and Pistons won on the same day since November of 2017.
  4. Also I might add that IF they do fall in love with 1 of the QBs they may be better served just using their first pick on him vs. trading assets to move up or risk not getting him at all.
  5. My point was that even if they don't end up with a top 5 pick next year and miss out on a Bryce Young or CJ Stroud there will likely be a bunch of other guys that are just as good as this crop so why waste a 1st round pick on one now if you're not convinced in them or even worse trade assets plus use a 1st round pick on one? Now if they fall in love with one of them that is a different story but otherwise just wait and draft one another time. Hell there is nothing that says that you even need to draft one, who knows a year from now what QB will be unhappy and we could possibly trade for.
  6. Not that the pundits grades mean everything but if you want to believe what their grades are on this batch of QBs than you can almost guarantee there will be atleast a half dozen next year that have equal or better grades cause virutally every year there are that many that have higher grades than the best this year.
  7. To me the most important traits are accuracy, defense reading and how quickly you can move off your first read. That's why I loved Mac Jones so much and a big reason why I feel he has had success from day 1. Yeah your arm strength and 40 time may be what scouts drool over but those don't translate to the NFL if you can't do the things I mentioned above.
  8. With the SS market heating up at the time and guys flying off the board the Tigers probably didn't want to wait around and play games with Correa and end up with nothing. Perhaps now that they secured Baez they may be more willing to play the back and forth game with him when the CBA gets settled.
  9. Yeah that probably would be the best fit, got your potential qb and if/ when Rodgers leaves the division should be wide open. The only downside is that it is a pretty demanding fan base so if he struggling by midway through the 2nd year they will probably be calling for his head.
  10. Or after the Lions are guaranteed the 2nd pick one of the qbs breaks out from the pack and a team(s) falls in love with him and give the Jags a bounty for the 1st pick to ensure him.
  11. Bold strategy Cotton..
  12. The thought of Alaskans and Montanians(is that what they're called?) Searching baseball reference is even more hilarious to me.
  13. If I were the Jags I definitely be trying to get Harbaugh but I like to think that Michigan is going to offer him a Godfather type offer and for better or worse(if you're like Tater or TP) he's going to be a Michigan lifer.
  14. Im old enough to remember when people were concerned with him with some even throwing out the potential bust tag.
  15. Lol at Shoeless Joe Jackson for Tennessee and Hank Aaron for Montana. Also love the randoms like Mondesi for Mississippi(I presume he has some ties there but still weird) and Yelich for Alaska. Atleast Yelich is a name player but still what makes Alaskans like him so much?
  16. And another one bites the dust, Hockenson done for the season.
  17. Of course a lot can change by the time of the draft but it's a little disappointing that there isn't that many SS on the list.
  18. I love the fact that Sheila has been engaged in the operations but at the same time doesn't throw her weight around but instead allows the professionals that she hired to do their job. Case and point the video during the draft asking about the WR,she knew we needed one but after Holmes explained to her the situation she sat back and let him do his thing. Same thing during the video in the 1st round where they were debating trades, she sat like a fly on the wall and didnt try to tell them what to do but instead trusted their judgement.
  19. I have faith in Sheila, perhaps its blind faith but some of the things she said and has done makes me think she is competent and actually cares about winning. That doesn't guarantee anything cause even smart owners/management can lose but at the very least I think she is going to do everything she can to win and isn't just going to settle for mediocrity year after year.
  20. Almost 24hrs since the booster and I have to say this is definitely the worst of the 3. Nothing crazy as of yet but my arm is definitely more sore than the previous 2 and it started earlier than those. One of my coworkers said he felt under the weather for a few days after so I suppose as of now Ive gotten off kinda easy. *knock on wood*
  21. Michigan just got 4 star WR Darrius Clemons who was previously committed to Auburn. They've had a great day thus far, up to top 7ish nationally depending on the site, a couple weeks ago they were in the mid to late teens.
  22. If the contract was settled and everything were to start on time we'd be passing the halfway point between the last Tigers game and their first Spring Training game. It would be all downhill from here, sadly though that isn't the case since things likely aren't going to start on time.
  23. Id rather they wait and make sure they get the right one, nothing kills a franchise more than drafting the wrong qb early, reason being is 9 times out of 10 that franchise will still try to make it work with said wrong qb the next 4 years and miss out on superior options while putting up with bad play the whole time. We're very likely going to be picking in the top 5 next year, top 10 at worst and we will have ammunition to trade up if need be. Id much prefer doing that and getting the likely superior qb vs. drafting one this year cause we feel we have to.
  24. haha classic! I think we all feel this way KD!
