    Kamara is still going strong after 6 seasons. If anything is going to do him in this year, it's likely going to be off the field issues. Kamara has had the most touches of his career the past two seasons of his career. His number of touches has steadily gone up every year he's played.

    I'm concerned with getting good players than value. I think for the most part they got good players and players who will contribute right away. I think value matters in trades. For the most part, I didn't think Holmes got good value for his trades but at the end of the day he walked away with 6 picks in the top 100.

    By the time Hooker is ready to take over, he'll be the same age Goff was at the start of this past season.

    I have to wonder if Hooker had an advantage being 25 playing against players around 21 and younger?

    According to NFL.com, Chiefs got a B+ for taking Mahomes. Cleveland got an A for trading back and not drafting Watson and taking Jabril Peppers and Deshone Kizer.

    Walter Football had Mahomes as an early 2nd round pick. Compared him to Jay Cutler which was a common comparison among draft experts.

    Lions have the guy who drafted Mahomes.

    So the Lions are down there with the Chiefs and 49ers, two of the best teams in the league eh?

    They ranked the Patriots ahead of the Lions and 49ers who took a kicker and punter.

    Having Hooker ready to be the backup by week one is an aggressive timeline. I would rather go with Sudfeld as the backup and even consider starting Hooker on the IR like they did with Williams. Hooker is about 2024 and beyond.

    Perhaps June 1st cuts by the Vikings? Smith could be of use to the Lions.

    I would actually like signing Bridgewater now. Bridgewater had a devastating knee injury where he almost had his leg amputated but still came back. He could be as good of a mentor to Hooker as Goff.
