  1. Outside of Simmons, how many DL players are available that you can use that cap space on in 2023?
  2. Sutton is younger and cheaper, contract wise at least, so probably Sutton. Sutton would be a perfect Chark replacement.
  3. His salary isn't guaranteed in 24 or 25 and the Lions cleared out a lot of cap space this year. Unless they are going after Simmons, there aren't a lot of other players left to use this cap space on.
  4. The only source is ESPN but I would be down for this.
  5. Tannehill and the Lions desperately need an experienced backup. Win-Win.
  6. They've gone this late without extending him. They did the same with AJ Brown. Maybe it's just not a well run franchise?
  7. Another scenario is sending the 6th pick to Tennessee for Simmons and a 2024 1st. Tennessee can then send 6 and 11 to Arizona. If Tennessee is rebuilding, that 2024 pick can be a high pick. It's more risky than the other trade but I can see all teams being happy with that trade.
  8. I'm not sure how 3 way trades work in the NFL, or if they're possible, but I could see something like Arizona getting 11 and 18, and potentially some future high round comp from Tennessee, Tennessee getting 3, and the Lions getting Simmons. Just add some mid round filler to make it work.
  9. The key piece is unfollowing the Titans. Sounds like trouble in paradise.
  10. I believe part of the new Twitter blue is higher engagement so these Russian bots and right wing trolls will appear more often in more people's timelines and hide that they paid for that privilege.
  11. They are concerned about football character. As far as I know, Cephus hasn't showed up to camp too fat to run routes. This teams signed CGJ despite punching teammates in the face and drafted James Houston despite being suspended for credit card fraud charges. This team cut Jamie Collins for dogging it during the game in Green Bay. They want players who put in the work and are leaders on the field not fat and lazy players.
  12. I'm shocked Birkett didn't mock a QB to Detroit. For years during the Stafford era he wanted to draft a QB.
  13. Makes me think the Lions wanted to move on.
  14. I think the belief is that the Ravens will match any deal and want other teams to do their dirty work. Jackson also may not want to be in Baltimore so he may not want to negotiate a contract with another team. In that case, I suppose he could just sign the franchise tender. Jackson seems to be high maintenance and a bit of a diva. No worse than Aaron Rodgers though. Not sure why the Jets locked on to Rodgers.
  15. Guess I don't understand why coaches and GMs go to pro days if we're just going to ignore players who show up out of shape and unable to complete drills.
  16. But for three years we'll have a QB on a rookie contract!
  17. That logic should apply to Arizona. Their QB just blew out his knee. They also need a backup now way more than the Lions. Going forward Murray is probably going to be more of a pocket passer so now you have a homunculus trying to be a pocket passer.
  18. Arizona is the team with a QB whose going to miss a year with a knee injury and is coming off a sub par season and it's the team that has a healthy QB coming off a Pro Bowl year who should trade up and draft a QB.
