  1. Jamaal Williams is averaging a full yard less per carry with the Saints than with the Lions. Montgomery is averaging almost a full yard per carry more with the Lions than with the Bears. It's as if the Lions have a good offensive line.
  2. Who finishes with more wins, Pistons or Lions?
  3. With Matt Millen, I respected his vision. He wanted to make the Lions into a faster more athletic team and install a west coast offense that was modern at the time. I have no idea what Weaver is trying to do. It's like he's collecting big men like it's the early 90's. Even then I don't think any of these players would be particularly good in the 90's.
  4. I mean, I figured they would have wanted to do that the 1st game of the season after the Lions eliminated them from the playoffs and 1st place in the division was at stake.
  5. I also feel like they wasted a lot of time trying to make Campbell into a pass rusher, something he never did at the college level.
  6. Jack Campbell had one of the best RAS scores ever for a LB. You can argue positional value at 18 but he was an exceptional athlete. Rodrigue doesn't lack talent, he lacks size. That's why he was a 6th round pick. Barnes is another one that had good talent for a 4th round pick. Ironically, the one defensive player they drafted that has been a standout fell to the 2nd round due to a perceived lack of speed.
  7. I find it hard to believe that after finishing last season 8-2, being hyped all offseason, starting this year 8-2, leading the division the entire season, that teams are just now taking the Lions seriously. Campbell has been aggressive on special teams for 3 years now. Ben Johnson was one of the hottest coaching candidates. If the Lions snuck up on any team this season, that coaching staff needs to be replaced.
  8. I don't think either of those were a big reach though. It's not like they drafted Tavai in the 2nd round. I think they do default to character like Hutchinson over Thibodeaux but I don't think they reach a lot of character. They traded up to draft Jameson Williams and took Gibbs high who are both speed guys. They also took Laporta over Mayer who had more physical tools. Jack Campbell is the high character guy they like but he also had one of the highest RAS scores ever for a LB.
  9. Here's why the Lions didn't go all in and trade picks for veterans. There's still good young players who didn't make the list that should have like Gibbs.
  10. Marcus Peters got cut because he lacked effort, refused to tackle, and got into an altercation with his coach. The Lions aren't going to sign him. The Lions are trending in that direction. They're a young team whose window is just opening. This is like the 1991 Red Wings, not the 1997 Red Wings.
  11. Ken Holland won multiple championships. I'll take multiple Super Bowls.
  12. I'm convinced Dobbs is actually Charlie Villanueva.
  13. You know, the Bears are only two games out of the playoffs.
  14. Jim Bob Cooter turned Stafford's career around. Underrated play caller.
  15. Dobbs needed a ridiculous comeback to beat Atlanta. He disappeared in the 2nd half against the Saints and they almost lost that game. They lost to Denver when Dobbs disappeared in the 2nd half. Dobbs basically disappeared this entire game. I'm reminded of the words of a former Vikings coach, "They are who we thought they were."
  16. I never doubted Justin Fields.
  17. I would have tried for the 1st down and assured the FG was the last play.
  18. If the Vikings are paying off coverage, a WR screen wouldn't be a bad idea. I don't trust the Bears to be smart though.
  19. Conversely, the Lions offense scored 29 points on this defense.
