  1. I noticed it during the game but I assumed that was on Goff. Is Campbell telling him in his helmet to snap it with over 10 seconds on the clock?
  2. I'm pretty certain one of the 1st round picks will be used on a defensive back. It depends on how the board shakes out. I would also go for a pass rusher opposite Hutchinson.
  3. Campbell all but said Swift is out the next two games at least.
  4. I think they view Melifonwu as a safety and he will likely get some time now at Safety with Walker out.
  5. Jamaal Williams ranked 1st among all backs. Thread
  6. I saw this mentioned elsewhere, but one of the side effects of having one good CB is that offenses will start throwing to the other side more often.
  7. One stat that surprised me is that the Bears have not had a 4,000 yard passer in their history. I thought for sure Cutler did it at least once. Even if you don't include Stafford, the Lions had Mitchell and Kitna who threw for 4,000 yards. I can't believe the Bears haven't happened into one season like that.
  8. This was a 3 win team last year. Last year in Minnesota they basically trailed the whole game until late. This time they were the better team for almost the entire game. They've lost their two games by a total of 7 points to good teams. The team is getting there.
  9. I think leaving a WR wide open in the end zone cost them the game but whatever. My hot take is the Lions will lose another game this season. Even the most optimistic projections had them losing 8 games.
  10. How quickly things change in a half. Now Campbell can't coach and Brad Holmes cannot draft. It seems like everyone forgot all the aggressive decisions that got them the lead to begin with and completely let the defense off the hook for allowing Minnesota do march down the field with little resistance.
  11. Headline: Detroit area hospitals flooded with ankle injuries from people bailing on the Lions bandwagon.
  12. What is it with this team and Achilles?
  13. I also noticed in the highlights that Sloan seemed to have an opportunity to go out of bounds late as well.
  14. Here's that play if anyone wants to relive the memory.
  15. I seem to remember that Crowell game well. I think that was the first year of the Millen era. I seem to remember Batch falling to his knees with one of the most befuddled looks I have ever seen.
  16. The comment I was responding to was: "Jamaal Williams is a great story but he has been mediocre as RB2." Williams averaged 4.4 YPC with 2 TDs. He's fine as RB2. He was as productive as Swift in this game. In fact, he even had a longer run than Swift. If he was more explosive he would be a number one back. Williams ranks pretty low on issues with this team and this game. I will reiterate again that Williams is not as explosive as Swift. Unfortunately I cannot be more clear.
  17. I declare on this the 25th day of September in the year 2022 that Jamaal Williams is in no way, shape or form as explosive as D'andre Swift. I unequivocally, 100%, without a doubt, definitively state that Jamaal Williams is not as explosive as D'Andre Swift. I also do not declare or endorse that Jamaal Williams is an equal or superior back to D'Andre Swift. I understand on this forum that if you mention two players in a single post that is construed as them being equal. I reiterate, that Jamaal Williams is not as explosive as D'Andre Swift. I hope that this is clear enough and will document this post for future reference when the subject is sure to come up a year from now.
  18. Jamaal Williams had the same YPC as Swift including two TDs.
  19. The hot takes after this game are epic.
  20. I do play action. If no one is wide open just eat it and take the sack.
  21. I like how the receiver initiates the contact and throws a tantrum when a penalty isn't called.
